In today's vlog we head to Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for the last of our Disney Resort Tour series. We rented a golf cart, which was so much fun! It cost us about $60 and was a 24 hour rental. Because the resort grounds are so expansive we decided that the best way to tour the entire resort was by cart. We explored all of the pool locations, comfort stations and food outposts. There are so many great food locations at this resort! Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, Trails End, P&J's Southern Takeout, and Crockett's. We ate at P&J's Southern takeout and it wasn't bad! The ribs were pretty good. We also checked out the RV campgrounds and the tent camping spots. It looked pretty nice and we'll definitely be camping here in the future! We to Tri Circle D Ranch and saw all the horses and ponies, one of the coolest parts of the resort!

Love this video so much! Solo camping in September myself. By far the least expensive and quietest of any Disney resort. Campsites can be had as low as $55/night! I took my trip to the extreme on penny-pinching. $55/night for the site, $35 for a military surplus tent, and I used an outside vendor for a bike rental at $150 for the week (dropoff and pickup included). What I ran into was I couldn't justify $65/day for a golf cart for myself and Disney only rents bikes for the daytime. You can't keep them for the extent of your stay. That's where the outside vendor came in. Really looking forward to an enjoyable trip!

That ticket booth is what was left over from when they closed Disney's River Country Waterhole. Disney does seem to repurpose stuff. Now instead of getting tickets to the water hole. You pick up the tickets for the Mickey's Backyard Barbecue. Even that water tank by the slide use to be part of the railroad that ran through there then put in the waterhole and now it is at the slide at the Meadows Swiming pool. I almost forgot. The first pool they showed is the quiet pool and that one is opened 24 hours. The Meadows Pool with the slide is the one that closes down at a certain time. Also the slide is a lot of fun. Also they now let the guests push the reset button if the signal is flashing red. Even though the sign that says don't touch the button or something like that is still on there.

Fort Wilderness is the best I've been waiting for this video!! It's oddly emotional watching this video because this is the resort me and my family would stay at every year we'd come and it's like a second home to us we haven't been back since 2011 and I miss that place so much it's such a fun place and I have so many amazing memories there it's also funny when Jen says it doesn't feel like Disney because Fort Wilderness to me feels so magical

Did this resort back in November with my dad's new RV, and it is (hands-down) my favorite Disney resort ever!! Absolutely serene and isolated from the rest of Disney World. And the fact the resort is so large makes it all so much more immersive. Coming back from a hectic day from the park to such a peaceful area is a huge plus from me.

Also there are really cool things offered at fort wilderness that other places don’t offer. For instance the golf carts around Halloween there is a golf cart parade and the headless horseman will ride around. There are also golf cart/ camp site decoration competitions. Another cool thing is you can watch all the fireworks and the water parade from the beach with all the audio from the show given to you. My family will go there a lot and just stay at the camp ground and not even go to the park. Most campsites run for about $100 a night

I think we are staying here again this year. Love it! This will be our third time. It’s like having a house. I love it when it rains because you can hear it on the roof. The only thing I don’t like is the walk to and from the bus stops when it’s storming. And the thing about the black bears. Lol.

Honestly laughed SO HARD when Tim said "I'm a Canadian!" We have those rolley things at every park here in my city in British Columbia. It was a staple of my childhood for sure. Thank you so much for these resort tour videos, they've really helped me decide which resorts are more my speed for my trip to Disney World in 2 years. I definitely want to stay at Fort Wilderness at some point during that stay, camping is my favourite thing to do in the summer.

We loved the resort when the kids were small! Such an awesome place to let them run and play and relax during afternoon breaks and in the evenings. We tent camped the first time and I was really hesitant about camping in general but the place is so quiet and peaceful and the comfort stations/showers/laundry were beautifully clean at all hours. I haven't been here in years but remember the restaurants are good and there was no shortage of entertainment, so glad you included this in your tours. I'm a diehard POFR fan but would not hesitate to camp here again. Well, I'd get a cabin nowadays but, still!

I am so glad I went back to rewatch this video. I have only visited Disney World three times in my life and they all happened within a year. Last year to be exact. I didn't know about the TriCircle D ranch on the first visit and on the second I took a boat to the ranch and surrounding areas. The barn was roped off for some private event so I didn't get to see much. I never got to see Mickey's backyard BBQ and I'm glad I got to see it here as it was closed and to be demolished at or after my third visit. The barn is closed and probably gone now, but still happy to see it all again and what I've missed as half of it is gone.

Pro tip if you're staying in a cabin with lots of people (and in our case, our 3 kids): request close to comfort station and the kids can use the comfort station bathroom if the one in your cabin is occupied. We've stayed there twice and LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

We stayed there a few years ago, drove from Colorado to Ft Wilderness, but we rented a camper online, they delivered it to our site so that when we arrived all we had to do was check in, and drive to our spot. When I was a kid, we always stayed here - both camping and in the 'cabins'. It's mostly unchanged from the 80's - even the 'cabin' layouts are pretty much the same. There weren't any pools then - we had River Country (alligators were still endangered then), and the internal bus system was overly complicated since it was organized by color coded flags. It was easy to get on the wrong bus - especially since some flags were VERY similar. lol Comfort stations were always very clean as well - as is usual for Disney. Beautiful and peaceful place to stay - highly recommend.

Oh thank you so much for the Fort Wilderness tour. My family and I have both camped in Tents and rented the wilderness cabins. It’s been about 6 yrs since we have been able to go to the campground or Disney, so thank you for tour which made my day. Jenn is right, if you stay near the water you definitely need bug spray. Mosquitoes can be bad. You should go one evening to the campfire sing-a-long. It is so much fun roasting marshmallows and hot dogs over the fire pit, Chip and Dale come out to greet everyone at the sing -a-long, and then they show Disney movies under the stars. I also wanted to mention, the Trails End breakfast buffet is the best value in all of Disney and the foods pretty good too. You guys are awesome. I look forward to your videos each day. We stayed in one of the cabins for nine days! Loved it! The campground is my favorite place to stay.

A huge thank you for all of the resort tours! I used to live in the mountains so I can tell you the locks on the trashcans are bear locks, so it's partly for theming, although they do keep out any other animals as well.

Totally agree with the folks who pointed out that the shaped hot tub is a horseshoe shape, after all, as you showed, they actually KEEP horses at Fort Wilderness and it totally fits the rustic theme, as for the worries about mosquitoes, not only does Disney spray for that, but also, water that moves, that is NOT stagnant is one of the ways of avoiding the ability of mosquitoes to multiply, unless there is a very bad drought I bet Disney keeps the water flowing though their chain of lakes and canals enough to minimize that issue.
