Disney Wish Very Merrytime Cruise! | Embarkation Day Was Cut Short But We Made The Most Of It!

In today's vlog we embark on our Disney Wish Very Merrytime Cruise! Our day was cut short due to the hurricane but we made the most of it! We stayed in a concierge deluxe family verandah suite. We give you a tour of the room and the concierge lounge. We had dinner at Worlds of Marvel and tried new foods on the menu, it was pretty good! Then we have some treats in the lounge before watching the Holiday Tree lighting ceremony with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto! We end the night by checking out some of the merch in Mickey's Mainsail before heading to bed. It wasn't the best way to start a cruise but we had a great night anyway! As an adult with autism, I just have to tell you guys, these kinds of videos mean so much to me. Disney has a very special place in my heart and I've been planning to go on a Disney Cruise with my sister and her family for years now and going on any big trip is really intimidating for me. But being able to see the types of rooms available and the food served in the restaurants and the whole process of getting on and off the ships, it helps me know what to be prepared for and takes away the majority of the anxiety

I agree one hundred percent! Being on the spectrum knowing what to take to the parks to help me be more comfortable is extremely helpful. Bring noise cancelling headphones with you in case it gets too loud I found helpful during parades and fireworks last time I went.

I just want to share with you that Disney Cruise Line has been so wonderful (especially with ASD accommodations) that I chose it as my wedding venue! That silent dance party is such a great idea. I hope you guys can acknowledge in future videos of this cruise how incredible the cruise staff was to be able to deal with the hurricane delay, the sudden shift to Christmas decorations, dealing with new procedures on a ship that hasn't had the Christmas cruise before, room turnaround in what may have been super-stressed conditions, immediate dinner service and late-arriving passengers who were probably hungry and exhausted and confused....all that and you STILL had access to much of what the Wish had to offer. Seriously, props to everyone. I'm sorry the concierge lounge didn't have food when you wanted it, but I know everyone was doing their very best. Love to you guys.

We were on the Carnival Freedom that caught fire in Grand Turk in May. We got 2 extra days in port at Grand Turk all to ourselves and our 5 day cruise turned into a 7 day cruise. It was wild, but it was so nice! It’s fascinating how all the crew are able to pivot with ZERO heads-up to keep things rolling along for guests. So much respect for those folks.

The pocket in the pillow is for pajamas. It's a pajama pillow or bag. When I was a kid it was a popular item to have. You could leave your pajamas out on your made bed this way.

This was probably an absolute logistical nightmare for the staff, I am really glad you made it on the ship though! It seemed stressful🥺 I actually work with a spa that uses Elemis, they are an amazing brand! Very helpful to point out the differences between the concierge and standard deluxe rooms. Our first cruise is next year on the Dream. There’s 5 of us so we are in a Deluxe Family room with verandah. I’m not sure we would be able to afford concierge while we have to go during the kids’ school holidays but it looks great!

We got married on the wish the cruise before you guys and it was certainly a crazy experience. We also got on the ship late bc of a medical emergency. And got off the ship late bc of the hurricane. Got married in mexico instead of castaway. It was crazy.

Regarding the shower isn't there a thing on the faucet to push down So the water will flow into the tub so you can get the water to the temp you want it and then get into the shower and pull it up so the shower starts? If not that's poor designing on thier part.

I wondered the same thing. Also should be a way of have the shower water come out of the hand held shower spray which can be turned toward the wall until you get the temp set.

Hey Guys!! Been meaning to catch up on this Cruise, but have been busy around here. Anyway...I also needed to thank you for something.... Back when you did the Taste of Space Event at The Kennedy Space Centre, you went into The Space Shop & showed something that got me excited. The Loungefly Space Shuttle Backpack & Wallet. I have a R2 D2 Loungefly I got in a Bibbidi box back in the day & he’s starting to look his age. He’s close to being 5/6 years old & is looking a bit scruffy & worn & it is time for a new Backpack Purse. Which as I use a White Cane, I need a Backpack Purse. So I was planning on checking out to see what Loungeflys are available right now on the various sites, find one I really liked & then ask Mom if it was okay w/her, that would be my Christmas Present this year. Then you showed that Shuttle backpack & wallet & those plans changed really fast....LOL!!! I’m also a huge Space Nerd & grew up w/the Shuttle Program. I remember Columbia’s very first flight & where I was. Won’t bore you w/that story. Sadly, I also remember where I was & what I was doing on that fateful sad Morning almost 20 years ago too. So when you showed those....I knew. They’re a Limited Edition item, it’s something really special &...Yeah. 😊 So I talked it over w/my Mom & tonight we put the order through. They’re saying all orders before December 11th will come in time for Christmas, but w/me being in Canada & how crazy shipping’s going to be w/all of the Chaos w/the Supply Line....We’ll see. I really hope to be able to put them under the Tree though. So Thank You!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing those that day at KSC. If you hadn’t, I never would’ve known about them & then...So Thank You so much for making this a very special Christmas for me!! Take Care!!
