Disney's Grand Floridian Staycation Day3! | Rainy Animal Kingdom Day & Dinner At The Enchanted Rose!

Today’s vlog is day 3 of our Disney Bucket List Staycation at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! We’re having the best time here and we’re sad that this is our last full day of the trip. Tomorrow is check out day. We start our day with breakfast from the Gasparilla Island Grill and it was really nice! The croissant sandwich reminded me of the breakfast we get from Disneyland, it was delicious! Then we head out to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for some rainy day fun. We had the best safari ride! The animals are so much more active after the rain. We saw so many animals up close and so many of them came right up to the truck, it was awesome! Then we went over to Pandora to ride the Navi River Journey and have some lunch at the Satu’li Canteen. Lunch was great as always, this is one of our favorite quick service restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. We highly recommend it! We had back to the hotel for Jackson’s nap and when he wakes up we meet some friends for dinner at the Enchanted Rose. This is the lounge on the second floor of the main lobby building. We ordered all of the food items and they were all good! The cheese board, flat break and the brisket sliders stole the show though. We had the best night! A friend of ours that lives near Chicago had lost her wedding ring after her daughter was born...2 years later both of our families went to Disney World together and in the middle of the trip her husband randomly found her wedding ring in their diaper bag while we were at Disney Springs!!! My husband & I were supposed to go to Disney for our honeymoon last year in May. I haven’t been since I was young & it would have been his first Disney trip ever. I’m so sad we didn’t get to have that trip, but seeing the fireworks back makes me hopeful that we’ll make it for all of the Disney magic someday.

Very cool seeing all the animals, especially so close, and the babies. The safari is my favorite attraction in AK. That, and the gorillas and tigers. You look cute in your Mickey ear rain jacket, Tim! :) The food at Enchanted Rose, though limited, looked pretty daggone good. I'm sure the chandelier is supposed to mimic the color of Belle's yellow ball gown, although I'll agree - the style is weird. Wow - Tink looked really cool from that far away!! When my daughter was in a stroller, I used to buy an adult sized poncho, put it over her head, and then drape the rest over the whole stroller. It kept both my daughter and our stroller dry. It was a fluke…they didn’t have any child sized ponchos available, so we made do! It worked great!

Thanks for sharing your trip on the safari at Animal Kingdom! It was cool to see some of the animals like the baby Zebra and the Rhino who were featured in the series "Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom". I watched the show a month ago and it was a fun look behind the scenes of how they care for all their animals.
