Great video as always Darren! One of the best I have seen about diversity. 73

Hi captain Darren. Nice, interesting test to destroy noise. I need to do this too. Thanks for this great video 73

I'm just for the first time looking into AI noise elimination. I just heard of RM and now Thetis. Does Thetis require an Anon radio? I have on & off had power line noise as bad as 20 over S9. Yeah. Fun huh? I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about finding a powerline fault. And still sometimes I can't find the culprit. Yes what you played here is what I have. O have managed to get PGE to fix a few problems. But the hot weather has shown me this season that I still have a problem. Not nearly as bad so far but it's still happening intermittently. To repeat and I haven't been able to pay attention to your video as I've been typing but I will review. Thanks so much for this.

I'm fighting a new RFI Power line noise. My utility company has found one near my home and submitted a service call on one utility pole. It's a never ending battle. Thetis is a software for software defined radios and particularly for Anan radios built by Apache Labs.

Wow! I would have never thought you get do that to the powerline noise. It is so much of a super hard job the pinpoint a powerline fault. And if you can't get the guys out and show them with an ultrasonic dish or other tool, it's extremely difficult to get PGE to fix it. I would rather pay thousands than keep going through that mess. I ended up last year having at least three different arcs start up within a 150 yards from my house all at the same time. And, I'm a total need for DX. So power line hash totally rains on my parade. I've been looking at the NCC 2 noise cancelling system from DXE. But it's $950.00 WITHOUT all the modules.

I thought about the NCC2 and yes, expensive. The Anan using the software Thetis does help eliminate some of the man made power line noises. When I run remote control with my IC7610, I have to use a web SDR to listen during rag chewing and my Remote HF for transmitting.

I noticed that you now have a LP100A meter from Larry. I am looking to add it to my shack what do you think about it. Thanks Bruce W4HAM

It's very nice and more accurate. I have mine connected between the Amplifier and the Tuner.

I can reduce the noise without all that fuss by changing my RX DSP. Also, It's not all power line noise. Most if not all sounds like atmospheric noise.
