Hiya chaps- I need to pipe up re Gareth Southgate. I believe he’s done more for the team / country than just footie results. He did get us to pivotal games , yes some games and results were utter shite but, he’s brought unity and shown the ‘game’ and what standards are now expected from fans. I really think he’s done a grand role and now we need to fight for progress with TT but with a sense of cohesion on and off the pitch including all supporters. X P.s. I’m Toon lass all the way- HWTL 🖤🤍

I'm only just catching up but I have to say, Dan Burn has been incredible as cover for Botman. Also think, it's forced Howe to play Hall and look at how that has turned out? So Botman returns when he is better than Dan Burn, and he will be once fully fit. Burn will always be a fan favourite when he retires. Even as a weird left back, he tried his best.

It’s an absolute nonsense when fans say to just sell Longstaff. Yes he’s not great as a sub but you need a squad and there will be some games where you need his athleticism. Also, Bruno/tonali/joelinton/willock/Miley are never going to be injured or suspended magically for a full season? I suppose if selling Longstaff along with almiron results in us being to bring in a RW and a replacement for Longstaff in the squad then maybe. To lose Longstaff as a squad player and only have 5 midfielders would be madness

Sandro Tonali has delivered the security that makes EVERYONE Improve. Now that doesn’t mean everyone is top level PL - there are clear upgrades still obviously needed but a world class operator does that. It’s exciting because we deliver two or 3 exiting additions then watch the fuck out! Because I’m coming. Does not amortisation mean if we buy a player for £40 million that is spread over 4 years at £10 million a year? The sale of a player such as Longstaff for £20 million, is not amortised and is 100% pure profit. This would allow us to buy two such £40 million players for example for the price of Longstaff. It may be nonsense but we could use such regulations to our advantage. What is wrong with that?

Shame on you for thinking Gareth has not deserved his knighthood he’s done more for football than any other living England manager. He transformed the set up for us to numerous semis and finals no other manager was capable enough to do so!!! England have always been rubbish and you make most of this trash up! I was at the Euro96 semi against Germany, I was at the more recent Semi at the Euros I have been to as many England games, do t get self deluded thinking we should do better when in the past we have been useless. Gareth has done wonders, but it was time for him to move on. Sven was crap, Fab was crap and so on - only Venables and sir Bobby did well.
