2019 Kia Niro EV EX Premium - POV Review

I'm a Korean who rides NiroEV with four family members. I've never regretted buying it. Because it has a wheelbase of 2,700mm, it has a spacious interior, has good fuel efficiency, and is practical, so if Niro's design is ugly, I recommend buying a second generation Niro.

11:30 I'd use that when the limit is 50-55, that way I wouldn't have to worry about going way over the limit without realizing it.

You do realize that the cruise control has 2 modes, the first is standard where it holds the speed (unless a vehicle is too close in front), and the other mode is a speed limiter where you control the speed but it won't let you go faster than the limit you set...unless you completely floor it.

The automaker does say however that they have recalled many models that contained the 2.4 liter engine. That was the same engine in Kirstin Wilson’s 2016 Kia Sportage when it burst into flames as she drove down a Georgia highway last summer. “It literally blew up in front of us with all of our stuff in it,” said Wilson. But Wilson’s SUV is not among the hundreds of thousands of models Kia recently recalled for fire hazards. A Kia spokesman said the automaker negotiated a resolution with Wilson because she only owned the vehicle for one month before the incident.

12:40 The right paddle can engage an auto regen function, so that the car chooses the level of regen braking for you. I like this feature -- it allows me to single-pedal drive, much like the 2nd-gen Nissan LEAF, and not have to play with the paddles.

I'd wait for the new redesigned optima imo. But I know a friend that has a Niro Hybrid (non plugin), and on a trip to California from Ohio, he got over 52mpg!
