@martink79454 жыл бұрын
Sales of models like Audi Q7/Q8, BMW X5/X6 or Mercedes GLE/GLS are high and I see a lot of these models driving on the roads of Germany. The market share of SUVs is continously growing and Toyota just wants a bigger piece of this cake. I absolutely understand this decision. Especially because the Highlander must be just exported to Europe. Somehow for most of the people SUVs are „cool“ and make sense. I don’t understand this trend as the disadvantages of this kind of cars predominate (which you already mentioned👍). I am just curious about this model and I am looking forward becauce the number of model offered by Toyota is growing in Europe. Around the globe Toyota offers a lot of interesting models, but in the last 10 years they offered only the most boring ones in Germany. As a Toyota Fanboy the last months have been a feast (new Corolla, Supra, RAV4, Camry, and now Highlander) :D

@@martink7945 hm, i see litle chances for this Hybrid on our german roads because simply of the lack of power. I drive a V6Hybrid from Lexus and when on Autobahn even this is sometimes a bit sluggish and slow but its smoothness and nice V6 growling shines bright and make driving always very pleasant (ReLaxus) ! But a crying 4cyl.Hybrid in such a heavy SUV is a NoGo for me. They better had give this a second powertrain option, the V6Hybrid which they have on stock since years ! Most of our german SUV are way faster 0-100 and above than this highlander and with the upcoming E-SUV or PlugIn it is a sitting duck. Toyota themselves offers now the first PlugIn with good Power and numbers but are not able to deliver nearly as much as people ask for !! The RAV4Prime with same Hybrid but more Battery capacity and motors 302hp and 6,xx sec 0-100

This Highlander Hybrid is a major accomplishment for Toyota as the fuel efficiency is simply STUNNING. In stop and go city/suburban driving this will get nearly double the mpg of any other CUV in its class. As a matter of fact, I can't think of any non-hybrid cars that will beat its city mpg.
