@@thetransporthub why do you say terrible? When Vande Bharat Express or Train 18 was tested at 182 km/h (over 110 mph) on 1676 mm broad gauge tracks here in India, the suspension worked superb and the bottle kept on the snacks table had minimal vibrations. Looks like a modification is needed in the bogies of the Class 800, 801 and 802s. The Train 18 has 16 coaches and can operate 160 km/h services if needed. And 44 better and modified versions are coming in future........and 2 sets are in operation now, due to our tracks not supporting 160 kmph runs they are operated at a maximum 130 kmph now.
@thetransporthub4 жыл бұрын
the 802s are based off the 800/801 order by the DfT that was done to a stupidly tight budget, so everything about the 802s is cheap and nasty, seats and bogies included

A number of 802s running their diesel engines whilst under the wires. Surely the circumstances for this should be rare, e.g. wiring failures. However, from my own experience of riding the GWR units it seems to happen without explanation, even leaving Paddington under diesel power.

I do love the Class 800, 801 and 802s and they are very nice decent new trains to travel on. So what are you going to do next, travel on the railways again because it's now safe again as long as you're wearing a face covering while travelling and keeping a safe distance to 2 meters as well. Nice Video mate!

I’m a bit late but great video. These trains score only in looks rather than function. Awful units once you actually ride them and the most ridiculous seating I’ve ever seen. The standard class seats are similar to ones used on 10 mile commuter trains across Europe and the first class seats are second class seats in some express trains across Europe.

yeah the TPE livery looks nice on them but dreadful units to ride

I hate those Hitachi IC's, they are extremely uncomfortable to ride on and not great to look at as well although, some have masked their looks very well with excellent livery design. I've ridden from PAD to: Swansea, Bristol and even as far as Plymouth, and they've been nothing but a pain in the back side. The seats are just too damn hard, just like the 700 Desiros. I can't wait to try the Stadler FLIRTS, they look some much better both in and outside, in comparison to the Azumas.
