The Class 165 was at it's best when it was first introduced in 1992/3. They are so tired and dated now, and really need replacing - Especially on the Chiltern Line.

Yes The Turbo's Were a Upgrade For Network Southeast Passengers Compared To First Generation DMUs and Local Hauled Stock They Replaced On The Chiltern Mainline And The Great Western Main Line 👍

Interesting how these look so like some of the multiple units that have operated on routes local to me for years now (Class 465s/466s), being from the same family and all, but obviously sound nothing alike due to being entirely different underneath - DMUs vs. EMUs. Come to think of it, except for a London Overground service I took one time, I've always ridden on electrified sections of the network/on EMUs; and as such it was a surprise to learn that most of the country's rail network is not electrified.

Have the GWR 165/166 gone off the London Paddington Routes because i’ve not seen a turbo between Reading and London Paddington, route ever

They are still on the Marlow, Henley and Greenford branches. I don't think there are many mainline workings now
