I just discovered this channel through this video! I love doing road trips and hearing about/watching other people's road trips. I love your attention to detail and how you included information on your itinerary and each of your stops! In December 2020 I did basically the western half of this road trip, from Austin, Texas to Irvine, California. I did it totally solo - not even with a dog haha. Unfortunately I didn't really have the time or energy to do stops. I'm looking forward to watching the videos for the rest of this trip!

@@travelpockets Hey a tip next time u travel coast to coast on I 10 When u approach Lake Charles Louisiana take the 210 bypass.. The I 10 bridge is rated worst in the nation.. It needs to be replaced.. The bypass is a Lil more scenic and takes u by our 2 elite casinos and over the 210 bypass bridge.. More stable 😁

Hiya ! Great video .. I've got to ask you sinse you live in Florida .. How did you get used to the funky tasting water ... Sulfur water ... It's driving me crazy.. lol .. Yes I always have bottled water on hand, but sometimes you'll get a tea or soda from a restaurant and its got the funk ... 😬😐

So excited for you!! Download a bunch of podcasts and good music. Podcast series always makes the time go by fast :) Drive about 8-9 hours each day. Bring lots of water to stay hydrated. Download the iExit app - it gives you all the info at each exit on the interstate. And have fun!!❤

Next time yall drive thru west Texas.. Head south out of Fort Stockton or Balmareah towards Ft Davis Alpine Marfa Marathon Terlingua and Lajitas All either close or fairly close to Big Bend National park and Big Bend Ranch State Park... You wont regret the detour south.. Plenty of places to stay...

Awesome! I loved driving solo cross-country. It's kinda therapeutic for me. Some tips - break it up into 7-9 hours a day, bring lots of water and snacks, download some podcasts, research hotels, and have a great time! :)

I litterally live abt 14 miles from the fla caverns and i have family in plant city so and my dad nust recently moved abt 20 mins from busy bee so we go there alot!!

you have the seat belt in the lower position, raise it up, the closer the neck it sits the safer it is, if you have it too low then the risk is that it slides off your shoulder during an accident, and then it can hurt you instead

What did you do with your dog when you went into restrooms, restaurants, etc?

I parked in a shady area and ran into use the restroom. It was never too long. For restaurants, I usually did takeout through drive thru or left her in the hotel room while I picked up something to eat.

Going to be making this drive down from Orlando to california, How can i get the itinerary you made 🥴🥴 Im super nervous and will be doing this long of a drive for the first time with my wife and dog. My wife doesn’t drive. And I’ve never driven more than 4 hours at a time. Help advice I would love to go the route you went considering when you explained it it seemed so easy

A 10-hour road trip with a puppy will be a little more tough, but if you take enough breaks in between, I think it'll be fine :) Make sure to take your pup out for some exercise and fun before you start the road trip.

I'm about to do california to west Virginia and i have a pitbull... I'm scared of the bsl laws around the east . any advice ?

Oh wow, I didn't even know what BSL laws were until I Googled it just now. So sorry that you have to worry about that in some of the states :( I'm not sure which counties specifically ban pitbulls, but I would definitely try to skip those counties if at all possible. Try calling hotels to make sure they accept pit bulls as well.
