@piotrkowalski70507 жыл бұрын
You can find so many clips here in YT about Poland which can give you a clue. The places I would recommend are : Zakopane, Gdansk, salt mine in Wieliczka, Czestochowa, Zelazowa Wola, .....hm, hundreds other "must to see" ( oh, Mazury - lake district). But if you have a chance to spend Christmas with Polish family, especially highlanders -Gorale you'll have the real feeling and picture of the Poles and their spirit, friendliness and sharing attitude. Good luck. Don't hesitate to bother me. If only on YT will be gladly to your services.

Firedrake I have been this summer twice in Czech Republic. Well, I live in Wroclaw so it is not far away. Two fast trips - once to Liberec, then Olomouc second time. Both lovely cities (with great architecture in Olomouc, but Liberec seemed little more "lively") Never been to Prague, but since it is so touristy, I prefer smaller cities. Next time Hradec Kralove and Brno (for bigger city feeling) Greetings! :-)

Planning for a road trip in November, how will be the climate?
@l.m.76378 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking, i hope that you'll like it here. About weather. November isn't the best month for visiting Czech republic. This month is cold, windy and rainy. Sometimes it can start snowing. Generally all winter months aren't good. Because of global warming is winter here unpredictable. I don't know why are you going to visit Czech republic but if you want ti visit some monuments, castles and so on, it's usually in November and during winter months closed, i think. At this moment is here nice weather. It's hot, sun is shining but it will change soon. So if you want to visit Czech republic, i would prefer summer months. Like May, Jun, July, August, September. But as i told you, climate here is every year different so i can't tell you exactly. What i told is just my opinion. So if you want to have nice trip and enjoy it here, come in the summer. This is my opinion. Any other questions? I would like to ask you, where are you from? :)

I come from a small quiet town called Roznov pod Radhostem. It`s situated in the very East of Czech Republic, about 20 km from the border to Slowakia. Although the town is very small, there is a large complex of 3 outdoor museams (called Skanzen) right next to the very centre of the town. Especially in summer, spring or early autumn, the museum (esp. the parts The wooden Town and The Wallachian Village) look like a freaking 17. century fairy tale. The museum is called Valasske Muzeum v Prirode and it`s the largest and oldest outdoor museum in Central Europe. Also, the museum technically has a 4. part that is situated on the top of the mountain Radhost, which is a famous pilgrim place. There are several houses in a wonderful architectural style, plus there is also the possibility to keep walking on top of the long hill past the statue of the Pagan god Radegast all the way to the wooden Chapel of Cyrill and Methodius. From there the views are just stunning. The mountain Radhost is about 1200 meters high.

And Jan Hus was burnt as a heretic (Hussite christian) in 1415, we have national holidays on that day, and i know my info too well. Hearing non-Czech speaking people trying to speak Czech makes me feel very proud of our beautiful language. I don't judge that they cannot pronounce so many of Czech words, it's really not the easiest language in the world. But I really love speaking Czech and seeing peoples reactions. And I love trying to teach them some of our "spicy" words like "čtyři", "řeřicha" or "nejneobhospodařovávatelnějšími". And their most favourite of all sayings is usually "Tři sta třicet tři stříbrných..." and so on. It's also interesting how much I watch videos about Czech republic since I left. Is it some kind of coping mechanism? :D

Hard to tell, I'm from Brno so I'm familiar mostly with Moravia Region, and your choice seems pretty good to me. I never been to Lytomyšl and sadly Olomouc, but I believe there are several similar cities - Telč, Slavonice. Olomouc is worth to mention, Krkonoše or Šumava mountains (different mountains have different character, perhaps I prefer Jeseníky as well) and I know several locations that are as beatiful as national parks, but so tiny, that there are just for one day walk (Pálava just north of Mikulov, Bílé Karpaty close to Radějov and many others). But anyways your list seems pretty good, just some locations can be exchanged

It's nice to see you mentioned some lesser known places like Litomyšl and Vitkovice. The Jeseníky Mountains (or Djesinikky, as you say) are fine, but I would recommend the Beskyds, in eastern Moravia (in the Vallachian Kingdom). Apart from the hiking, cycling and skiing, there's Štramberk with its medieval tower, the outdoor folk museum in Rožnov, Pustevny on Radhošt mountain, and best of all, real Moravian Frgál!

Liked 👍, like a lot. Well covered of the best of Czech Republic! On your next add on...maybe Karlovy Vary and Plzen (Pilsen)? Brno is definitely under rated on most people's list in CZ. Most oeople only go to Prague and Kutna Hora or Cesky Krumlov. I like your top 10 choices and agree on most on that list. Then again this country has too many good places for just top 10 ...maybe top 20 😀 Happy to support your channel and subscribed! Na Zdravi 🍻 😎👍

Beautiful! I miss some amazing spots like Adršpašsko, Pálava and Česká Kanada (Czech Canada). Also spa/wellness towns like Karlovy Vary, Luhačovice or Mariánské Lázně. I am also missing Lednice Castle and Hluboká Castle. Check it out on Google, these are unbelievable beautiful places!

+Dominika Šťastná thanks for your comment, unfortunately we didn't get to visit the entire country as we travelled for 3 weeks but we will definitely go back and check out what we didn't get to see this time. Unusual list. I like that you picked some nice walks/trail options as those are often forgotten for the sake of all the castles in CR. And there are many. The ones worth visiting in my opinion: Lednice (lovely park, and the chateau is beautiful in and out)- it is near Mikulov actually, so if in area you can rent a bike and cycle there as it is under 15 km ;-). When in Prague a lot of people visit Karlštějn, Konopiště and Kutná Hora (there is a huge cathedral, but also small church away from centre with possibly most famous ostuary. There has been opened another one just recently in Brno and worth seeing if you like that kind of thing) . Another near Prague is stunning Orlík castle. Amazing area to visit for walks as well as the castle. If in Český Krumlov- look up Hluboká nad Vltavou chateau, just across the lake there is Ohrada and it is not far from Třeboň which is lovely area. But you can have a look here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_castles_in_the_Czech_Republic and decide for yourself according to area you are visiting ;-)

Thanks! I should be back this summer to do some biking and I plan to visit Karlštějn for the first time.
@ChekhovBla6 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if this changed but dogs were allowed into the castle as long as they can be fit into bag ;-). That is the option in some castle in Czech Republic actually, so worth looking it up if you plan update as people love to take pets on trips with them if they can ;-)

*Pilsen* I love Pilsen and Šumava. In this video, I think, it must be. It is beautiful place, full of beer 🍻 like Pilsner Urquell. In 2015 it was capital city of culture in Europe. In Šumava are so many things to do like hiking, in winter usually skying or cross-country skiing. In ❤️ here. (sorry for the mistakes 😊)

I have visited the Czech Republic a few times.The first time was 2010 and I fell in love with it. Soon it will be 5 times I visited that beautiful place and I just found out why I am drawn to it. I have ancestors who came from the Czech Republic. I couldn't figure out why I was so drawn to it, but now I know. I feel like I am at home. Its weird, but I am very comfortable when I am travelling through that beautiful country

As local i would recommend visiting a Bohemian Switzerland National park. The nature there is really beautifull and you can find stunning views there. It's quite difficult to get there on your own but there but there are great tours with locals on Airbnb (Airbnb experiences).

Missed Czech paradise (Český Ráj), Sněžka mountain (the tallest mountain), handfull of cities like Třebíč, Telč and so on (wich are part of unesco protected parts of Czech republic), Macocha collapsed cave, missed Pilsen (the brewery city, where pilsner urquel originated), Karlovy Vary - one of the best spa cities in Europe, and numerous VERY interesting (and arguably more than the ones you did mention) things.
