Can you reverse the process to unwind your bobbin without wasting the thread? I've only 2 bobbins and wanted to change one, both are fairly full. Thanks!

Thank you for this video. I just tried to wind the bobbin. I followed the video about loosening the center of the wheel. It is loose but my needle is still going up and down. I have the 221-1 model. Can you help me please.

your balance wheel is binding, sometimes a small amount of oil is all thats needed. It may also have old oil that needs to be cleaned out

can you show how you got the side unlocked? i think i've unlocked mine, the needle doesn't move, but my bobbin won't wind

hold the balance wheel in one hand and turn the chrome knob counter clockwise to unlock it.

I am unable to loosen the knob on the side to wind bobbins. Any suggestions on how to correct this isssue?

if you cant loosen it, (I assume you mean the balance wheel release knob) you can still wind bobbins with the machine running, just make sure its not threaded. Sometimes some serious elbow grease is needed to fee up some of the screws. Try bragging the nut with a rubber sheet used to open jar lids.
