Bro. Heads up. POPO MAN DOT don’t go with rub rail as a securement point. Called unsecured load. Love your work. Thanks for sharing.

How hard to chop up those palm trees. Are they soft like a pine.
@TheTreeShop2 жыл бұрын
Softer and very fiberous. Palms are the most difficult thing to mulch in my opinion. They slow the momentum of the head and don’t mulch smaller as you go over them. Just requires patience

Why do you prefer a bumper pull over a gooseneck?
@TheTreeShop3 жыл бұрын
Few things but mostly I can build out the bed of my truck to carry more tools and equipment but also I can get the bumper pull into tighter situations in the woods instead of dragging the rub rail around trees. A good bumper pull is $15,000 A good gooseneck is $30,000+

Because i dont know would those palms would a mower attachment worked better but it looks very nice

A mower (brush cutter, forestry mower, bush hog) leaves a terrible finish with massive chunks. It can only cut when the debris it is hitting is vertical because it applies the energy in a lateral manner… once it is cut down it just beats stuff up on the ground and doesn’t process it. Mulchers process it in a single pass (forward and back) which increases production but the way it applies the energy in a downward pattern the debris can either get pushed into the ground or get cut

It really feels like that Mulcher could have a bigger hydraulic motor on it. The skid steer hardly even notice it when it slows down. If I was to design one it would be barely even slow down. Just seems like you can’t utilize all the power of the skid steer.

This mulcher is operated on 150-200hp machines. It’s running on a 96 hp machine. Keeping the knives sharp, and operating it correctly keeps the drum speed up. The drum itself is very heavy as well so it keeps a lot of momentum going into debris. Pushing it faster to slow it down only slows down production and increases the heat of the oil.

Be careful with the filmer, guy died just standing near a mulcher because a piece hit him in the neck and caught the jugular!! Seriously.

Have you taught the wife how to operate the equipment?

Na she does office stuff but she doesn’t have any interest in learning to run it
