Why this person is so angry on any issue. He is an IPS officer his police first word means to be polite. Any question can be answered in a certain way, not by showing your anger. On this kind of post you cannot expect everything, every question to be happy go lucky.

I think DGP has answered every question quite well considering the fact that he is the head of the police force. These days we rarely find the head of departments taking a stand for their own force. Especially considering the fact that the 10000 (approx) police personnels have been recently reshuffled and to simply give in to the questions asked by the journalists will be causing a great loss to the morale of the police force. For a minute think from that cop’s perspective- they will be objectified to such negative remarks even though half of them have been transferred to just bring a huge change in the working at the lower level. It’s easy to blame the police when the desperation of the political parties - AAP; can be witnessed through these big decisions as there existence as a state government is under peril. HONEST, VERY PROFESSIONAL, REMARKABLY INTELLIGENT and VERY EMPATHETIC towards his force.

This is such a good step by Punjab Government. But what about those who were falsely implicated in NDPS Cases during SAD government in 2014. People who were addicts were thrown behind bars by framing Tablets, Powder, Liquid against them. I urge the government to look into this as i myself gone through this. I was a addict then and police put Intoxicant Tablets and put me behind bars. I am sure i am not the only one.

ISI 😅 Let me enlighten U guys On my street, police were selling drugs by giving narcotics to local peddler that they seized from other drug dealers😅. When we reported to police about drug selling. The police informed the drug peddler and gave names of PPL who complained about them. In retaliation, peddler best the complainant and told that he is selling police's drugs. Drug is a business owned by Police, village sarpanchs, MCs, MLAs, MPs. Even illegal liquor or substandard liquor is on sale without excise duty from neighbouring states to Punjab by Punjab MLAs sarpanchs. Every one has a cut and chain is really long from Lowest rank policeman to highest rank policeman, from Lowest level politician like sarpanch Mcs to highest ranking MLa, MPs. Even drug/health inspector r involved in medical drugs sold in pharmacies that r addictive in nature and can't be sold over the counter without medical doctors prescription. I once even attended a health inspector welcome party organised by all the pharmacist in Moga city, health inspector in drunken state picked the mic on stage and told pharmacists that sell whatever drugs u wants but remember my cut. The whole system in Rotten in Punjab, AAP, Congress BJP Akali politicians and police and state departments all r equally involved in drug trade. Even BJP leader in my area was involved in illegal liquor trade. That is the reason that PPL r going away from all other parties. My constituency is now the khalistani stronghold due to the mess created by politicians and police.

DGP has a shitty attitude , has no manners and is unneccessarily reacting so aggressively . Journalists are not fools , even if it were a routine reshuffelling exercise , we all know police is intimately responsible for drug pedalling . Public knows very well how punjab police used to work under SAD and CONGRESS government . They were deeply corrupt and still are but the situation is slowly improving but it does not mean that DGP could deny any allegation . Punjab police has had a not so good image earlier but it is getting better

Common people have been catching these drug peddlers and punjab police is known to being selective of acting against these criminals. There are ample evidence examples available where Punjab police did not act. Now ask this man who does not know Punjab and its people, what about the drugs coming from inside the country states such as MP, Rajasthan and Himachal etc. Crackdown on drugs coming from Pakistan is must but also look at the supplies within the country
