This episode is very special to me as it was the first episode I ever watched of friends and I saw it on the tv once I wanted to watch it and I really enjoyed it so I watched the seasons in order on Netflix and now it is a year later and it is my favourite tv show of all time :)

There is actually a theory that Judy had an affair and the result of that affair was Monica. The theory says that is why Judy doesn’t like Monica because she is reminded of the affair and is filled with guilt and shame so takes it out on Monica. Far fetched but its a theory.

This is actually an interesting theory, and would actually not be too far fetched if Jack was the one that had the affair. His mistress gets pregnant and can't raise the baby and so Jack takes her. It would explain why Judy hates her and once said to Rachel "you're like the daughter I never had." Because technically she wouldn't have had a daughter.

Fun (well, not really fun) fact: Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) said in an interview in 2017 that one of guest stars on Friends told her 'wow, now you're f#ckable' after she put on make up (because she's been rehearsing without it and finally got it done for the shooting night). She only confirmed it wasn't Charlie Sheen with whom she had an episode together in season 2. Fans speculate it was Alec Baldwin from this episode considering he had made other misogynistic comments in the past, regarding his daughter and ex-wife. And who else would it be? Michael Rapaport maybe, but she would get that it was a very bad joke. Paul Rudd? No way. Hank Azaria? No way. Sean Penn? No way. So yeah, I also think it was Baldwin.

Apparently it was Fisher Stevens, the actor who played Phoebe's psychologist boyfriend in the first season. He did an interview apologizing for being such a jerk to the entire cast.
