Since you kind of mentioned it in this one, just for context, the season 8 episode 1 aired on September 27, 2001. It's not addressed directly on the show, but I remember it being a touchstone on the return to normalcy after weeks of almost all news coverage on every channel. It was one of those things that told us it was okay to laugh again.
