Eskimo is a colloquial term used to refer to the indigenous peoples who have inhabited e northern parts of Alaska and Canada as well as Greenland and the north eastern tip of Siberia. Penguins live at and near Antarctica. This puts Eskimo and penguins at opposite ends of the Earth, so no the Eskimo do not eat Penguins. And that is the same reason Polar bears do not eat Penguins. But Eskimo do eat polar bears.
@sneakybunny21656 жыл бұрын
Please don't use a racist term to refer to indigenous people. Inuit is preferred, at least in Canada where we care about not being racist. Americans still use the term Indian which I find shocking. But then Americans aren't known for caring too much about hurting brown skinned people.
@sunset23655 жыл бұрын
@@sneakybunny2165 Eskimo /ˈɛskɪməʊ/ noun 1. a member of an indigenous people inhabiting northern Canada, Alaska, Greenland, and eastern Siberia, and traditionally living by hunting seals and other Arctic animals and birds and by fishing. 2. Either of the two main languages of the Eskimo people (Inuit and Yupik), comprising a major division of the Eskimo-Aleut family. ...It's not racist.
@AdventurousJS5 жыл бұрын
"Eskimo" is the name given by those who took over their land, it is the term given to them by conqering Europeans. They call themselves Inuit. Wikipedia..."Since the late 20th century, indigenous peoples in Canada and Greenlandic Inuit consider "Eskimo" to be a pejorative term, and they more frequently identify as "Inuit" for an autonym.[12][13] In Canada, sections 25 and 35 of the Constitution Act of 1982 classified the Inuit as a distinctive group of Aboriginal Canadians who are not included under either the First Nations or the Métis.[14]. Not commonly known outside Canada, but it is incrediby jarring to hear that term being used casually. My mother's generation does so, and I'm always incredibly taken aback. You are completely correct in your main point, the Inuit and polar bears live at the North Pole, and penguins live at the South pole.

Durian is delicious...it's just so complex. It's like an avocado, a vanilla bean, and onion, some brown sugar, and just a tiny bit of like...acetone or fuel had an amazing baby. Every time you eat durian you taste a little something you didn't notice last time. Durian isn't only a delicious fruit with the texture of mildly stringy custard, it's an adventure. I understand why a lot of people don't like it. There are many people who don't like beer, wine, or coffee as well...and for similar reasons, they are strong and complicated.

The best way to describe the smell of durian is that it is an ethnic smell. Basically its like the scent equivalent to differences in culture and traditions. What smells good to one culture smells bad to another durian just happens to be the biggest example of this because something out there just has to be.
