I agree, but the thing with the inika build is it was similar throughout multiple waves and years, while the earlier sets were only clones in one wave, and then they usually changed it in the next wave.

While yes the early waves were clone sets, they usually didn't repeat for several years. OK, the Nuva were just the Toa Mata with some armor and some new pieces, but the Toa Metru were a vastly different build from the Mata/Nuva, and the Hordika were very different from the Metru. The Inika were different from the rest as well, then the build kept getting repeated over the years. Not a bad build, just got overused.

I feel like the glatorians and mahri were the perfection of the ignika build, just because they make good use of it, and have good bright colors.

I personally loved the Inika built. In fact, the Inikas are among my favorite Toa and I wish they'd stayed like that.

Agreed. I think Lego got a bit headstrong during the Glatorian era constantly making new builds and pieces, I think they got lost in their own hubris.

Contrary to what may be popular opinion, I really like this set a lot and think it does everything it's trying to do very well. Honestly, this is one of my all-time favorite Bionicle figures, with nostalgia for more classic characters being the main thing putting others over it. I just love the colors & aesthetic so much!

My Thornax launchers always worked incredibly well, but lately I've been having the same problem (as in these reviews) of them misfiring constantly. It's probably because of the projectile resting too long in the weapon, slowly removing the pressure from those silver pieces. Right now I'm keeping the projectiles out of the weapons when I store them. Wish there was a way of fixing it.

This set is the typical safe good looking set in a wave filled with sets trying to introduce new and unique ways of building with the system.

I don't mind that it "isn't creative". I almost prefer when they repurpose existing pieces and builds in new colors and configurations instead of making yet another proprietary build-specific piece. Part of the charm of earlier Bionicle lines was how you could mix and match the parts and they all looked cohesive because of their consistent design language. Part of why Glatorian failed is because of how they kept constantly changing the builds.

TheShadow Well after a while of using the launcher, it loses its resistance to be straight it stead of somewhat bent causing it to not put as much force on the Thornax but more in bending the pieces resulting in no launch

I just got this set and you built it wrong, the neck is slightly higher than it really should be. Which is a con but it's also the way is was intended to be. He looks like he doesn't have a neck and can't move the head that much to the sides unless he looks up (just a little).

honestly the red pins on the thornax launcher don't bother me TOOO much. I see them as sorta parts of the launcher it's kinda separate from the character them selves. I'm not saying they're good, or that lego has no control over them or whatever. all I'm saying is that they bother me on the thornax less than when they're on the character. (they're still annoying though.)

Huh i only ever had thornax launchers fail to launch once and that's because it was slightly loose. You're probably the only person I've head of yo have consistent issues firing them EVERY TIME. Also i know I'm years late and it looks more like actual gold but Pearl gold is an abomination in g1 they should've stayed with the Takanuva/Lihkan dark gold. (ok it just makes it hard to moc with consistent gold to match Lihkan's Hau.) Also i think we can all agree that the 2007 comercials having the darker gold mask of life was great until we finally get an actual gold one and it's pearl.
