Chuck, so glad I found you, as you make my old heart flutter watching what I used to do many years ago when I was young like you. Yes you are in the USA I am here in Ontario Canada. But things work the same way. They give you a route, and you do it day in day out. You get used to calls and know what they have,and the docks to use etc etc and I just loved it. Thanks so much for your videos.

Hey Chuck. We got a new pro system at XPO, it's a "parent" pro ( barcode) on both BOL's , which is then attached to a "child" pro by scanning it with the handheld device. Each child pro has a different number so each pallet can be tracked individually. Takes a little more time but it supposedly helps tracking each pallet for either the customer or on the line haul side, that way they can separate multiple pallets for weight distribution. Old timers hate it cause it's new, I've only been driving for 6 months so it's all new to me. Have a good day driver!!

That’s sounds like a good system. I could see us using that one day.

@@TheTulsaTrucker Roger that, I'm sure every LTL carrier will have it eventually. I got to tell you it's crazy that I will watch a 20 minute video of you working, after I just spent 10 to 12 hours doing the very same thing, lol! Have a great Labor Day weekend.

Funny thing is until I started watching these videos, the only time I had ever seen the big E of Estes on a trailer was in videos on BNSF trains passing through LaPlata, Missouri. I was surprised to meet one just south of Athens, Pa. yesterday.

It was cool to hear "Tinker AFB"! I spent close to 4 years there in the MOB. Drove trucks and played war all over Oklahoma and several out of state locations. Used to back trailers into C5s when they couldn't open the back for awhile after accident in Vietnam. Now I have a hard time trying to back up a uhaul trailer! Keep the greasy side down and God Bless.

May I say, Chuck, I'm very inspired by your videos in many ways, but one of the important ones being, is showing no matter what you WANT to get in life, you gotta work hard for it. Sure, some are better off than others, but if an athlete wants to learn guitar and be good at it, you gotta work, no matter your station in life. Also, good to see that when it comes to physical work, everything in moderation. Estes seems to provide a good work/life balance. I watch these videos sometimes just to get motivated and MOVE! God bless you Chuck;

Hi Chuck enjoying the pick ups . Question Chuck is there a particular way you sign your bills ? At yellow it was YFS date then 3 sw skids stc or slc how many ctns then you signed Be safe ✌️
@diggy7942 жыл бұрын
When I first started at Estes we were taught to sign name, exla, date and piece count or sws. We had a regional loss prevention manager who would come around once or twice a quarter and audit the paperwork and if it wasn’t right, write ups were in order. He retired and was never replaced and from the paperwork I see other drivers bring in, it’s no longer enforced
@TheTulsaTrucker2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how it’s loaded SLC if I’m not on the dock.
@denisryle64102 жыл бұрын
Chuck we had problem deliveries were you got a signed clear bill before unloading. That was the procedure. The customer would inspect the freight in the trailer sign the bill and unload. Example we had a stop in west Chicago terminal. We delivered pianos . You had to unload the pianos off the trailer and down a steep ramp . Well one time the driver did not get the bill signed and a piano fell off the ramp customer refused that piano. The driver was fired at the stop and the TM drove out with another driver and drove the fired driver back to the terminal. Driver got his job and back pay 💰. Because there were no instructions on the delivery bill . That TM got terminated later he was a terrible person . Be safe ✌️
