I suggest if your not getting really Smol bby to get a large tank so you don’t have to keep updating. Trust me it saves a lot of money. And live feeding it’s also good enrichment

Jokes aside, I only have a turtle and it takes me 40-60 minutes to change his water and clean out other things. I can only imagine what you go through. But we do it because we love them.

I’ve been watching you since May 2019! We found a baby RES in our pool and I decided to keep it. She isn’t wild as I have no ponds around me and it’s all city. My family had NO experience with turtles and neither did I, but I fell in love with my turtle! Right now, she’s in a really big tank and is very happy! :D I learned many tips from you and honestly, I only trust you for information I can’t find online LOL I’m still learning everyday! I also need to upgrade her filter and heater AND basking area, but it isn’t a very big deal right now! I would like to upgrade them to fit her future size so they aren’t a problem in the future. Thank you so much for making your videos and helping turtle noobs like me! :D

It's called an automatic aquarium/gravel siphon! They can be pretty expensive unless you get the hand squeeze manual ones. They only work if the tank is elevated though

Usually every several weeks...could be a month, could be a month and two weeks, could be 2 months. Just depends on each tank and how quickly the media gets clogged :)

hahahaha nice catch! twoset is the best ;) I did the water change by placing the bucket on the floor and the water flowed down. I added water by placing the bucket higher :)
