May I ask a question please? At 1' 36" you mention "transfer" between similar exercises... I am puzzled by the lack of transfer between bench-pressing and push-ups.. at least in my experience... before lockdown I was going to the gym and bench-pressing (not a lot, I am a weedy 64-yr old) but not doing push-ups regularly, and when I tried them they felt difficult; now I am not pressing but doing a lot of push-ups and finding them a lot easier... but I suspect if I pressed my max weight would be a lot less then before... So my question is (if what I am saying is generally true): why isn't there more transfer between these exercises which on the face of it seem VERY similar..?
