@Evan Koch Taller the better for deadlift. Long arms mean they don't have to travel as far from the floor.
@jonnywilson91174 жыл бұрын
@@Beautiful_Sound_1995 wrong. shorter femurs which Eddie has is better for deadlift because you don't have to bend at the hip and knees as much. If he had slightly longer femurs it would be a bit harder. Shorter Arms are better for bench press because there's less range of motion involved as opposed to if you have longer arms. Shorter arms in a deadlift would mean you'd be pivoting a lot more at the knees and hips. Making the deadlift harder. Which none of this takes away from his 500kg Deadlift either.

I feel like if Eddie wanted to he could compete with like 2-4 months of training. He seems just as strong as these strongmen he trains with.
@jaredstaten57224 жыл бұрын
I agree. I think he has kept most of his strength at a lower body weight. Not sure if he would compete again since he already won wsm the one time.
@starcow174 жыл бұрын
Have you seen him try to do yokes? or any kind of running event? He is terrible. Especially now. He was never good at that, but with him not training them, he's gotten worse. He will always be as strong but conditioned is something he will never be anymore.
@kb87294 жыл бұрын
Static pressing eddie is a freak. Short bulky limbs limits his athleticism in events. But pressing he is ludicrous
@MrOasis3164 жыл бұрын
starcow17 I disagree I think with 6 months training he could get back to being top 3 in the world at WSM. His static strength is arguably better than anyone competing now and he’s retired. Sure his movement was never great but it was good enough there is no reason he couldn’t get it back to where it was when he won WSM.

For the sort of training that ordinary people require to maintain strength and fitness in their daily lives, he wouldn't be much better than an ordinary trainer. His knowledge and experience would only come to the fore if you had a year or two of serious strength training under your belt (i.e. 5 times a week for an hour or two each session) and were looking to start lifting very heavy weights.
