Excellent Excellent video Sayf! I remember the video titled "Sayf Carmen gets real about anxiety/fear" in the early days I've been a subscriber for 12 yrs since the infamous no frills "burgundy" curtain and I myself struggle with fear too. Your information has been real, authentic and most importantly STREET APPLICABLE. Thank you for all the valuable content your students are truly blessed to have you Sir.💪

I know it may not be the trending attitude on this platform but I'd happily watch and pay for long-form videos from you on any subject, be it fighting, philosophy, or psychology, or all three intertwined at once, as there are so many shared implications between them. Your videos have taught me how to approach becoming a young man as someone who never had a father. Thank you, Sayf.

@nSpiraliArchitectb: Glad I help in some small way with my videos. My new channel will premier in 7 days GW. On that channel we will look at more things like this video in depth.

very powerful message here. power/courage comes in response to a need (protection, justice etc) not a desire.

I'm not a "fighter" -- 5 years ago someone was a threat to me -- with 7 guys around we started swinging.. It was rainy/wet and my foot slipped into a gravel divot - me ankle/lower leg snapped! I didn't realize it until I got up and "tried" to chase the guy down and one of the guys grabbed me by the shoulders and then I looked down and saw my ankle/leg dangling sideways. Painful. But I still have fear. And I'm far from a "tough" guy. I lost but I tried. Thankfully the guy didn't pummel me because he easily could have. Instead he slapped his hands together and walked away. I lost. And now I have an iron rod and screws in my ankle and leg. Life went on after many many weeks in rehab.. My toughest rehab though, was my bruised ego..

Man this is a poetic video like a Tupac song i gots to tell u that i still have fear of course im human but my family consider me this crazy bad ass who would crack somebody in the head and what u said about how u got treated after people saw how u can defend yourself and hurt somebody is the same feeling I had when i got bullied growing up nobody gave a shit about me until I started as them Italians would say crack some heads it this is why i love boxing and other combat sports so much even tho i never boxed before

Salam Alaykum brother, can you do more videos on grappling. A question i had was why is the “jab” of grappling the underhook? Many great fighters use the overhook a lot too.

If I'm going to fight I have no fear but I have fear of how much damage I can do so I try not to fight
@TheUmmahFightCampАй бұрын
@michaelholmes4374: LOL! When you fight someone who has the legit equal ability to ko you, you will have some fear. No matter how little. I guarantee that. That a man be good enough at what he does and have an advantage on you and you will have to dig deep to go it. I do not buy for a minute all that, "I have no fear". I have seen the best and their is always some anxiety when the man in front of you is just as good.

@diligentsun1154Ай бұрын
Precisely this. I too, have never been a 'tough guy', but when I've been Right, I've never been defeated, in conflict. I've lost in sports contests and competitions, and I've 'lost' in interpersonal conflicts, but only when I was wrong. To be clear, i Will Attempt to Flee and Escape, if i can, and i WILL Try! But, if there's no way out, We Go FORWARD! Allahu Akbar! 'taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk, taking a bird. Though it flies into the midst of a thousand if them, it pays no attention to any other bird, than the one, it has first marked' -ghost dog (by way of Sun Tzu or Miyamoto Musashi, probably)

I wonder if your hatred for the kid triggered your sense of justice. I can say for myself that i never really liked seeing others get done wrong. It never sat right for me to stand by and be powerless.
@sheistyfuchar678Ай бұрын
Hm. Is your video only talking about courage when it comes to fighting? I don't think of myself as overly courageous either. Though I have fought. And I have competed. But I don't know that I have had disdain for those I have fought... and definitely not for those I have competed against. Also... there are times when you have to have courage when I lean on compassion. Like... when you're in a place and you feel like you need to stand up for an unpopular thing - like standing up against discrimination or lack of inclusion in the workplace. In that setting, it can be hard to be the person to raise your hand or to extend your neck so it takes real courage to do the right thing, but it comes from a place of wanting to help and protect and for making the environment better for all. There is zero disdain in that... at least for me. Interesting perspective though. Thank you for sharing.

@sheistyfuchar678: LOL! if you listen to the video, you will know what I am referring to. Next, you should have listened to the opining. I said "I". This channel is personal, the video was also.
