I left Etsy last year. It was a difficult decision, but I really don't regret it. I believe you get buried on Etsy. They don't do much for you really. They are expensive, and the (few) instances when I needed their help, they are non-existent. You are better off on your own. With 142K subscribers here, we will get word out for you and you will do better in reaching your followers and potential customers. I am sorry about the new station and hope it all works out. I don't have to tell you that sometimes things happen for a reason. Sometimes the worst things wind up to be something that was good for us when we are looking back. We were renting a home several years ago and were promised it would be for at least five years, as the owners moved 2 hours north. We fixed up the house to our liking and spent both time and resources making it nice and after about 2.5 years, we were notified that they were selling the house and we had to leave. Needless to say, we were livid. But we actually found another place within a few hours which was owned by family friends of my partner (Keith). We have been here four years and are so much happier and the place is far more suitable.This time we feel secure in that we won't have to leave until we are ready. Our landlord and his family are wonderful. We are grateful we were 'booted'. So maybe it is the way of the universe letting you know it is time to really move. You may find better and I would think that is a better plan to pursue rather than trying to fight. You are a good advocate and can continue with your group(s) who are questioning it, but it won't consume you or your resources. (PS - I don't even have a cell phone. I am a holdout and do fine without one. ;) )

I'm fully agreement with you, Wendy...and I see the disappointment and despair in your eyes (((soft hugs))). I find it very disheartening how fast things are moving...too fast...we, as humans, aren't meant to adapt and change so quickly and I feel like we're approaching critical mass where "progress" goes. I know it's a highly unpopular opinion but I think things really do need to slow down....unfortunately we've been well and truly trained to want More and Faster by the big corporations that are pulling the puppet strings. *sigh*. I understand you very much Wendy. Here in Germny, in the area which I live, we have been struggles with windmill parks they want to put up and they are known to cause health problems. Another thread are insects, that have started to come over from Asia and other warmer places, such as the Mediteranien, for example the asian wasp, which is killing our bees. This is due to warmer climate. It has been so rainy and humid the past years and no snow. When I look back to my childhood years, back in the 60s and 70s, we used to have dryer summers and loads of snow in winter. We even had a skilift in our hometown. It is long gone, taken down and transformed into a meadow. Chin up Wendy, you are a wonderful soal and life always finds a way to get things in order. Just a thought - even if you had the money, fighting an appeal may adversely affect your (mental) health too and would be like a big black cloud hanging over you for who knows how long. I feel for you, I am like you, but I would rather be alone, with my rescue greyhound Madge, than be with someone who made me unhappy, or whom I made unhappy. It’s so important-as you know-to balance nurturing creativity, love, and being out in nature with “fighting the good fight.” I admire your activism. My 2 cents: the large corporations and conglomerates are like a soulless combine, plowing everything in front of it under, with no regard to respect or health, all to increase their profit and power. They’re often run by people who have no problem lying and cheating and intimidating to achieve their goals. Slowing down, pausing, resetting and going backward is not in their playbook. Winning against them is arduous and can take decades. But we must try. Because we can make a difference, as you mentioned in the other example as well as other wins we’re lucky to hear about or be part of. My concern is with you and your health-yours and James. I so agree with you on letting everyone have their say and see if there are areas where we agree or maybe can learn some valuable pieces of information. I had always been pro-wind power. I knew the dangers of nuclear and thought wind and sun were better-safer options. Then my small town had a wind farm built. One windmill was very close to a friends house and she began having problems and had to move. Also I learned the farm supplied only 2% of our power needs. As you said how do we make these decisions? I can surely empathize; I wake up some days feeling like I've been hit by a semi truck (lorry?). And some days the smallest chore, like mowing my very flat lawn with a self-propelled mower, puts me down for the count, which is 2 full days. Treat yourself like you would your child. We make sure they get enough rest, regular meals, reasonable bedtimes, and extra naps as needed. We also squeeze in beautiful moments with nature as needed. BTW, from watching you draw the hares, I get the feeling that the thing you struggle most with may be the thing you end up really mastering.

So enjoyable too. Energy levels can be tricky for us I find as I’ve gotten older. I find it’s better to give in to the peaks and valleys of them TBH. Love your rabbits! I think you are doing a wonderful job in stretching your horizons. I understand your thoughts on all the electrics going on around us. I too know they have effects on our bodies and everywhere I look there are huge tower things for more cell towers in all these new builds, the birds, animals of all kinds, farmer fields diminished in some areas, affects us all. The regular person is overrun by big businesses… we will not know the damages in our life time but future generations will find out at some point. You are fine in expressing your view point. I love your hare pictures Wendy and I love your idea of your poetry/stories … a little story popped into my head about a fairy and a hare when I saw them and when you said about always hopping from one thing to another and sometimes life being a bit of a struggle … I saw the fairy and the hare having a talk about hopping and flying .. and the hare saying to the fairy I can’t hop high enough .. but the fairy and the hare when they are together they get to fly right up to the light of the moon ❤ and they both know that they can do and achieve great things, sort of like accepting limitations but also knowing you can get there anyway. I agree Wendy, leaving the bigger platforms makes a lot of sense. They all take fees for practically nothing. A lot of local restaurants in my German town are leaving food delivery platforms because of the high fees or giving a certain % off if you order directly. I also need to drastically declutter and I‘m really bad at it, it’s probably been 5 years since I decluttered my office. Thanks for being you!

You are such a beautiful soul, Wendy! I was never on Etsy, thought about it, but it just seemed so full to the brim of, well, shyte, and I just didn't want to be a part of it. I make pagan and nature based designs for print on demand stuff, and was on Redbubble, but took the big leap a couple of days ago and set up my own website. It was a bit scary, but once I got started, just WOW, so much easier than I thought it would be. I do have a bit of experience setting up online sites and shops, but everything has gotten so much simpler in the couple of years since I last set one up. I have more free time on my hands at the moment than I kind of know what to do with (long story, just blah) and it's all so fresh in my mind, and I'd be happy to help in any way with getting you up and running in your own store. I'm another silver haired free spirit, lol, and if the gifting of my time and knowledge at this are of any use to you whatsoever, please do reach out. I agree with you that technology needs to slow down. The need for stronger masts comes from the constant pressure on people to upgrade to the latest so companies and shareholders make lots of money. Then the phone you have is obsolete so you have to change to something you don’t want or need! Stay strong and take care of yourself!❤❤❤

I just loved watching you do your art, so relaxing and looked beautiful. ❤🐰. I know how frustrating it is to try to go up against big companies. A local group near me fought against plans for a massive house build on beautiful fields , they had environmental studies done showing how there were deers, small mammals, birds, etc using the land, they had local public backing to stop the build and amazingly they won, the building company got refused permission by our council, victory we thought. But then the housing company lodged an appeal and the government overturned the councils decision and have allowed the housing company to start building on our beautiful fields.😢

Yes, Wendy - I so agree with you, "Can't we as mankind slow down just a little bit?" And these things do need to be looked at from all angles. Coming from a small island in the Pacific Northwest in Canada - these topics like Cell Towers would come to a debate...they were always stalemated as half the island was pro and the other half con. And quietly a cell tower would go up in the middle of the night that no one would claim responsibility for and we just had to adapt as protests fell on deaf ears...and you are right our current world is run by corporations who ensure lucrative financial benefits to those doing their bidding. I saw this at an early age when I was a journalist. A real journalist. A truth teller. Yes, the creatives do seem to be the advocates and voices for the underdogs...it only takes one person to change the world. It does. Just one. I can very much relate to your Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity as I have the same...and am sensitive to knowing when there will be an earthquake near us, a hurricane and electrical storms. As an empath and creative - my body is a barometer. You can tell the future Wendy - you are part of creating a really beautiful one that many of us are co-creating alongside you. .........I loved your story board with the hare...I love the hare myself and on a recent visit to my homeland, Wales - I went to the shops and bought many cards with the hare and the moon....I love the works of Celtic artists, Amanda Clarke and Wendy Andrews which I found everywhere includiing the Henge Shop in Avebury Stone Circle. You are looking really well Wendy - the clock must be going backwards for both you and James..you both look good...office is looking great...re-organizing is an arduous task....thank you - love your videos and your artwork...I appreciate your Etsy shop but so very much understand you wanting to be independent which I would very much support. I'm with you Wendy. I have three shops on Etsy and rarely sell anything. I don't have the time to keep them up really as I am also an artist so that takes my time. I hate the fees. I also think I am sensitive to electromagnetic fields. In the 90's I often questioned any effect all this tech could be having on us on a cellular level. I question lots of stuff. These last few years have been soul depleting, even as a loner who lives in my studio.
