You ladies r right. The wedding aspect; My opinion is about the decorators. It’s like they have a specific person/company on a pedestal that they r all trying to emulate. Also, many decorators r just business people and not creatives. Decoration just like Fashion and Art 🖼️ design is a creation. U have to be creative, nat just coping from person to another…. As for the bagole, it’s just plain competition. Y w’d I want my function to look just like someone else’s…!?

Always watching from Pennsylvania, USA 🇺🇸. Sipping my coffee while enjoying "Unpopular Opinion" definitely makes my Saturday morning better. I really appreciate how well the background colors and dress code are coordinated in this episode. It creates such a cohesive and professional look for the podcast. Great attention to detail, Claire-I love your outfit; it’s my kind of colors. I agree with most of today's points, especially about wedding decor. It's astonishing how much people spend on it when they don't have much to their names. Save that money and embrace simplicity. I also agree with Claire that the idea some people are built for business and others are not is a myth! People can develop those skills with the right mindset and effort. While some may have natural inclinations, many can acquire business skills through learning and experience. Flexibility and a willingness to grow are crucial for success in various fields. We missed you, Prim, but overall, the show was beautiful again today. I love it here!

Looking stunning as always, ladies ❤ Society is gradually changing. it's crazy how much we have normalized things we use to frown on. My input is, "Let's not normalize overnight success and wealth." Before now, there was no way you could bring home a new car or purchase a luxurious item when you are under your parents' roof and care. But now the parent will dance and give thanks to God without enquiring the source , hence the rise in immorality and bad behaviour 😢

Gosh the cost of decor is insane especially at weddings! Let’s not forget all the other exaggerated prices around weddings; all of a sudden, getting nails done costs 5 times more for a bride than other people, the same nails using the same technique. Something has to be done about this

Do a religious tour(check out those old churches, bahai, the OK mosque) have a day fishing in Ggaba, go to some factories and learn what they do URI is open for you to learn how some things are produced, do a tour (walk around Kampala and check out the monuments, a night drive is also ideal as you just talk about life, rock climbing is there at Clark international university, the mountain climbers also have a thing in Muyenga, go to like a warehouse and see how things are done, go to your friends workplace if it’s ok and see how things are done, you could learn a thing, your friends business and see how she or he spends the day, too much to do!

Normalising sexualising children in the name of content creation. Oops. Some minors are literally being exploited in the name of content creation. There is age appropriate content but that does not sell because folks want scandalous content. The fact that these minors have 1000s of followers who happily consume the content is more alarming. Such a scam.😮

Claire today I disagree with you, some people are truly not build for employment and some are not build for business, right from who you are as a person. Your goals, your strengths and weaknesses all determine where you lie even when you sharpen your skills, you will realise how much you are forcing life when you decide to venture into who you are not. What we can all do is invest our savings to either secure them or grow them safely business itself hoooo, not all of us can handle that daily pressure no no! I know people who can never be employed because they don't want to live under another person's rules and restrictions and as someone who is not for business, I'd rather deal with that than possible daily losses hooo I'd die of hypertension in a week
@beyourownbossbabeАй бұрын
Thanks for your this Miriam… however, I think you miss understood me. I know people are more disposed for employment/business than others… however, the economy that we live in has forced all of into the corner of business because there are no jobs to go around. How does one save when they don’t have an income in the first place? You and I speak from a point of privilege. I can never be employed but that’s a decision I make with A LOT of privilege because I am so good at business. But what advice do you have for someone who has looked for a job for 3 years but NOTHING? Do they starve because they aren’t good at business? Of course not! You tell them to suck it up and LEARN how to do business… because for as much as some people are naturally good at business, it can also be a learned skill...
