Last week and this week episode has really blessed and inspired me a lot , I don't know if it's the dimming of the lights and vulnerability, but I genuinely feel like doing better. Unlearning and relearning some of the things I knew as reality and growth . Thank you, ladies, for this platform 🎉❤

I absolutely love this episode, the topic, production quality and sound are great. I am glad you were vulnerable enough to share your experiences with us, I am grateful. I must say, you all look really good and stylish. I hope the stars get to align more for you in your lives. Lots of love.

I never comment but this Episode really pulled me out of my corner, i could write a booklet of comments. Clare thank you for talking about the Christian angle of excessive bend over till you break expectations. . . I think that topic calls for an episode of its own. Prim, you were so present even in your silence. It was a blessing and gives permission to us to also get comfortable with seasons / moments of silence Great guest! The rawness and intellect she brings is so needed! Loved both her episodes and will be here when you bring her back. Kemi - your gentleness and ability to keep steering these conversations is such a gift to us and to your co-hosts. This has been my best of your episodes - we have been shy about these topics so thank you. Clare - that uncle that complains to get you to visit - is a type of manipulation and control that happens in so many families and really needs to stop. Kudos to you for setting the boundary.

So true. African culture minimises a lot of traumatic experiences. Of course, as an individual, one needs to always appreciate the things we have that our parents never heard. But the dismissal of the pain that others go through bcoz they are in a different time or era, hmmm!

I agree adulthood is work and so tiring that everyone is busy in their lives but i also think a little intentionality goes far. You dont have to be with me all the time or text and call all the time, butt a once in a while check in text, a call or just anything within your means like time, advice something simple speaks magnitude. Extension of grace + intentionality helps us thrive in our adult lives. Thank you for this episode.

I am more than happy to be a support system. Probably too eager. The amount of rejection I've endured trying to be that...I'm going back to looking out for myself.
@beyourownbossbabe2 ай бұрын
Awww I understand this from the point of someone who prefers support in terms of space and no questions when I’m going through a hard patch in my life. Some people are naturally like that. Try not to see it as rejection and instead try and see it as your way of supporting people. I hope this helps explain the rejection you feel.. ❤

Let me say this, the only healing people need is that from disease - all these experiences people go through are things no one ever heals from, a lie many have told themselves as they simply substitute the thing for another, far from healing! Simply embrace the things you experience and seek to look at them in a different way without identifying yourself with the thing! Pain is a sign of life and should be celebrated rather than dwmonized!

Oh my darling, please be intentional about healing… pain unhealed is pain unleashed. I thought I’d healed from some stuff but this year, it all came rushing in. When you have unhealed pain, you start to unintentionally hurt other people. I pray you find healing. It’s hard but so worth it. The sun will be brighter, your coffee will taste nicer and life is generally more beautiful when you don’t have pain stored inside of you. ❤
