This is amazing. I’ve been looking for inspiration on how to build a closet in my knee wall and nothing has really spoken to me until your video. Thank you very much

I found your closet video about 1.5 years ago. I have been planning (dreaming) of constructing this in my bedroom. I hope to complete this project in the coming months (hubs just retired so I’ll have a buddy to help). Thank you for your excellent videos of this project, and your spot on replies to questions in the comments. Your finished closet is beautiful and so useful!

What are the materials needed to build this closet
@karimerodriguez6983 Жыл бұрын
Terrific job! I have to remove some tile from my flooring before I begin, so I was wondering what the depth of the closet was including the doors?
@TheUnprofessional Жыл бұрын
It’s 27 inches including doors and trim. It would be nice to have a few more inches though, so maybe plan for 30 if you have the space. Thanks for watching!

Hello, where can I find the video for the built-ins?
@TheUnprofessional22 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, I didn’t capture the built-in portion, but it was the easiest part of the project. I divided the space in 3 and subtracted the thickness of the plywood, then built three equal sections with just two sides and a back support piece. I secured them in place with screws and used two pieces of plywood across the top and trimmed the whole thing. I also added lighting for the top and in each compartment.

Is there a video on how you did the actual closet part? I don't want door but I have a split attic (3 bedrooms) with no closet
@TheUnprofessional2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I didn’t film that part. I used 3/4 inch plywood and pocket screws to make three sections. Then I trimmed it. It was pretty easy. The top is a few different sections that I made look continuous with wood filler in the seams. Good luck!

Awesomeness!!! What was the cost estimate? Thank you for sharing!
@TheUnprofessional5 ай бұрын
It was about $450 including the mirrors, closet tracks, wood, lights and paint. This doesn’t include the inside design, which I did separately.
@theamerican46092 жыл бұрын
Very nice work! Where did you purchase the mirrors?

Thanks! I got them at Home Depot.

How high is your knee wall?
@TheUnprofessional2 жыл бұрын
It was 51 inches. I brought it forward above the shelves though by adding a trim pieces that looks like the wall, so now it appears to be 58 inches inside the closet.

@@TheUnprofessional Thank you!! I have 40 ft of sliding plywood knee wall 5 ft high and I was trying to figure out whether to replace with a 4 ft closet or keep it 5 ft. Your videos have been such a help.

Is there a video for building the actual closet all I keep finding is the video and snippets for the doors
@TheUnprofessional Жыл бұрын
There isn’t a video for the inside of the closet, just one that shows how I made the structure of the wall-to-wall closet, the doors and the track.
@shaquitaford9689 Жыл бұрын
@The Unprofessional I can't find the one for the structure...I only see the tracks and the doors 😭
@Msmarmar47 Жыл бұрын
Hello can I ask where did you get the doors from?
@TheUnprofessional Жыл бұрын
I made the doors from 2x4s. It turned out to be pretty easy to do. You can see the steps here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYiTg5KCgbZnbdksi=Viaq8CtZkfE3CvwR
