Inside the crumbling city of Berlin in April 1945, Hitler was holed up inside of his Fuhrerbunker, however he still ordered the execution of one man who was said to have been the worst man in his inner circle. Hermann Fegelein was technically Hitler's brother in law, and he was a brutal war criminal who served on the Eastern Front. However he was declared a traitor after he tried to desert from the bunker.
Hermann Fegelein was allegedly shot in the Reich Chancellery Garden, however his body has never been found. This has been stated to have been buried in a bomb crater within the garden, but it has never been found. There have been many theories which have put forward as to where Fegelein's body is today.

Fegelein definately was NOT arrested at all. There was no "Court Martial". The "appointed head" of it all - SS-gen Mohnke, admitted several yrs after WW2 that there had been no Fegelein trial, thus execution. This was a fraud - and a fraud within the big fraud, ensuring the Hitlers to flee. SS-Fegelein was Hitler´s head SS for the entire flight southwards. Fegeleins father received news from his son that "I ´m safe and well with the Führer". Credible eyewitnesses at the San Ramón Ranch confirmed Fegelein´s arrival Aug 1, 1945... And that the staff served him and the Hitlers for a good 9 months there in Patagonia. Yes, "Flegel´s" remains were never located. He was never there. He was a giant of 195 cm, and widely known for his "abnormously big" hands. Would have been identified. Moved to a mass grave? Just part of the fraud operation. Couldn´t have been done those days. Hitler´s super pilot Hanna Reitsch was in on the plot... Only mystery: We do not know anything about Fegelein´s final destiny in South America. (My theory: He perished early, possibly in a car accident - he was a dare-devil, high-sensation seeking type. Playboy. Almost made it to the Berlin ´36 Olympics - on a horseback). But nobody, outside the inner Nazi circles - knows anything... What we know, is that Fegelein did not die in Berlin 45.

The people that had the job to remove bodies and put them into mass graves wouldn't have had a clue who any of those people were. Given that the soviets would have used the people of Berlin to do this job. With many of them worrying about their own lives.

Dear friends, Hermann Fegelein died in 2008, at the age of 97. He traveled to Argentina in November 1945. He lived in Buenos Aires as manager of a bank that belonged to Nazi capital. We believe that at some point after Martin's death he received Bormann in 1959 the "golden share" of the Nazi Party conglomerate, the H.GW. (Hermann Göring Werke). Since 1967, Fegelein began to travel to Brazil, there are his entry records, as well as his identity documents from Argentina. He was an intermediary in the purchases of 104 Kurassier SK 105 Fighter Tanks in Austria for Argentina.... we have the last living photo of him, since in Brazil he was controlled by the intelligence of that country. Gestapo Müller precensial witness of the last days in the Berlin Bunker said regarding Fegelein: "he just left, with a big bag of diamonds....".

@@outlet6989 The true story is not seen on TV or in the movies, but in books with documentation that supports them, you can read Gestapo Chief, with the transcription of the CIA texts, the author is Gregory Douglas, it is published in 1995, it is so disruptive what Gestapo Müller tells while he was in that place at the end of April 1945, that the common people need an end to the war with the leaders of the 3rd Reich hanging or committing suicide....but unfortunately this did not happen... .the Western Allies had other urgencies and needs...so that story was created through an intelligence agent, who you may know as the writer Trevor Roper, who in reality was MI6 Major Trevor Roper. Today English historians call him "Mr. Fake."

I look for Fegelein in the many Hitler Bunker films. His death is portrayed differently, if portrayed at all, in the different films, like The Bunker, Downfall and others. Thanks for the great history! BTW, @7:31 Hitler is wearing a black wound badge under his Iron Cross, I never noticed it before. I wonder if it's the special one for July 20th 1944?

The Bormann story is a bit apocryphal as there was never any testing or explanation for the reddish clay found on the skull, as well as unexplained dental work found on the skull, I don't think the forensics were as conclusive as you make it out and of course the skull and any other remains are now conveinently lost

When Hitler sent for Fegelein the SS in the mission found him in his apartment fully clothed and with all packed as he was ready to leave.. in the company of a foreign woman, who according to some researchers was an Irish national. She was let go but they have speculated that she could have been a British spy and that she was picking vital information from him about what was happening in the inner circles of the Third Reich. They even got a nickname for her, Mata O'Hara. I read that one of the most well known books about the subject but I dont remember the title but I think it was The Bunker by James P. O'Donnell.

I won't say much but that Herman Fegelein was not shot in his uniform outside the Bunker in Berlin. When he was picked up he was in civilian close drunk, the SS were not going to change his close just so he could face trial and be killed. Also, for him to wear a uniform once branded a traitor means he would shame the uniform so they wouldn't have given him that honour. He wasn't shot, he didn't die like that.
