Wow. I thought that your videos would be great for the future generations to see how our wonderful city used to be. Sorry, I was wrong. It also brings back lovely memories for us that are here now. That was fascinating. The memory for me was meeting my father in law (who worked at Victoria) after his shift had finished and going for a few scoops in the railway men's club down them stairs opposite the station entrance. Thanks for taking me back to those great times Clarky. Keep going R-kid.

Well, I’m a 56 year old woman and I should be outraged or at the very least saying “ Oh you silly lads. You could hurt yourselves!” But guess what? I love, love , love your work. I was glued to it and totally get your enthusiasm and excitement! I too love old buildings and mysterious places and, trust me, I’d be there with you, if I could ( maybe with a flask of tea and a first aid box though) . I’m from Manchester (God’s own city 😄💕) but now live in Liverpool. My husband recently had to survey an empty Georgian townhouse and let me go along too. I was in my element, mooching into every corner. Loved it, so yes, I get your obsession. Keep it up, but stay safe! Just subscribed. X

Before the station was rebuilt with the arena above there used to be a subway from opposition the dome cafe that gave access to the platforms then numbered 11 to 16. About half way along this underground passage there was a little wooden door near floor level and behind it was a large well which formed part of the water supply for Boddingtons brewery. This whole part of the old station was built on a plague pit and burial ground of the workhouse and chapel that was there even before the railway was built.
