Today I share another look into my tour of watchmakers in Switzerland. In this episode, not only do we go behind the scenes at one of the most luxurious watchmakers in the world, but we also interview the owner and visionary behind the brand itself.
Bovet Fleurier is a truly unique brand that has a long heritage of making exquisitely decorated and elaborate timepieces. With Pascal Raffy's inspirational and infectious passion, the brand now combines the style of its distinctive old world elegance with the most complex cutting edge watchmaking to create some of the world’s most awe inspiring timepieces.
Join us as we go behind the scenes to see the final stages of decoration with one of their renowned artisans. We’ll then witness the last stages of assembly of the Recital 20 Asterium and 19Thirty watches with its one of a kind Bovet Amadeo covetable system. Lastly, we’ll hear some wise words and insight from Pascal Raffy in our exclusive interview. Most astonishing of all, the majority of this work takes place in a castle that sits majestically in the beautiful Swiss countryside and was once owned by the Bovet family.

Martin Quitugua - you grabet the idea that I had after watching this video and turned it to a higher level. To TGV - I would love to see more of these factory visits with historical backgrounds information beginning from a lower level with classics from the massmarket like SEIKO / Casio / Citizen over to the high standards of Swiss and German watch making - just to name IWC/ Rollex / Junghans / A. Lange and up to the bespoke masterpiece makers .... That would be something I would really love to seen and just as an idea, an horological lexicon on DVD incl. this...

Absolutely Martin. The quality is there. I could see BBC 4 snapping this up. There's also an audience as evidenced by the subscribers here. If the BBC can make popular half hour shows out of James May reassembling a lawn mower then I think this would achieve much higher ratings.

This is on a whole other level because the workers are artisans. TGV, this was beyond stunning. I watched it three times, simply because you and Mr Raffy gave out so much information I was afraid to miss anything! Bovet is a company that I honestly never paid much attention to...I tend to focus more on pieces that are within my budget. But I was captivated listening to Mr Raffy describing his principals, referring to his employees as his "children"; the way incorporated your special feelings for your grandfathers pocket watch into how he gets inspired to design his own timepieces...you can tell by the way he speaks alone that he pours that passion into every watch he produces. Phenomenal job, TGV and crew on the filming, production, and editing of this video. It's a masterpiece.

First, kudos to Tristano, Giancarlo, Michele and all those from both UGWC and the house of Bovet in putting this together. Having been around this industry for some time and seeing & reading many interviews, and having been fortunate to have been able to speak to a few men in Pascal’s position, this is easily one of the top two discussions that I have ever viewed or been a part of. An interview is one thing and can be very informative however Pascal takes it to another level with his passion, emotions & love and is THE only Gent that I have ever spoken to with this type of passion and love of horology was Jack Heuer. The house of Bovet is the ultimate in Haute Horology and hats off Gents for bringing this to the horological community🎩 Superbly well done🥂 My Best, Richard
