I am bangali. Radhaballavi and rasogolla are not breakfast in west bengal. Luchi/kachori, curry and jalebi are the most bong breakfast. But I am glad you both liked what you had. And hearing about kolkata from antil is a mood.😊

I liked the Sikkim wala "Sha Phaley". Looks like the "Karanji" (Maharashtrian sweet dish) ka mausi. The spicy chutney intrigue seems to add the charm. I have tried the misal pav, puran poli, kachori (not the pyaaz wala), poha (minus the jalebi) and of course Puttu Kadala. Puttu kadala should be had like - crush the puttu-mix the kadala curry-make a bite size peda - enjoy it. Becomes more tastier when you alternate it with crushed puttu and papad. A blend of spiciness and saltiness lingering in your mouth!

Jatiya aj tamilnadu s idli , vadai , dosai is world famous it’s not from kerala , where as puttu is blande not that delicious that u can’t have everyday coz it’s just rice flour ! They have included rare breakfasts and unknown which are not famous at all ! Which are not available in restaurants like litti choka (except Rajasthani restaurant )were as idli dosa is available everywhere even in North Indian restaurants!

You should try Jharkhandi Breakfasts - Dhuska (deep fried rice flour batter eaten with spicy gravy mutton ) - Barra ( similar to vada from South India, made of urad dal, fried and generally paired along with dhuska, known as dhuska-barra) - Chilka Roti (rice flour batter sprinkled on a griddle forming a thin net liked rotis, generally eaten with warm milk, mali or gravy potatoes( - Pittha (dumplings made with rice flour dough filled with lentils)

Puran poli is not breakfast item guys. I mean the love of puran poli will make you eat that dish anytime in a day though! It's typical dish that is emotional ritual for us maharashtrians. We make it on "pavitra" occasions But Misal pav is love
