STAR WARS Piano Medley by David Kaylor | Composed by John Williams

In honour of the highly anticipated release of J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens in a few days, I decided to arrange and perform a piano medley from all six current installments in what I believe to contain the greatest film score of all time: Star Wars. This medley consists of the main theme (which plays during the opening crawl of each film), the closing title (which plays during the credits of each film), and 5 pieces from each Episode (Except for Episode I, which has 6, because I just had to include Panaka and the Queen's Protectors).
This is one of the longest and most complex pieces I’ve ever arranged and/or memorized. After listening to the six soundtracks dozens of times, I set out to learn and include the most recognizable and iconic motifs from each film. Many tracks featured on these soundtracks are simply filler (e.g. background music while characters are talking), or reprises of previously introduced themes. A low hum when discussing the dark side with the chancellor, or frantic violins while being chased through the crowded skies of Coruscant don’t translate well to the piano. So what I have compiled are the iconic, hummable musical cues from each film - and fortunately, the genius that is John Williams has included quite a few. The result is, I believe, a very distinguishable audible visualization of the entire Star Wars saga, retelling the story with 88 keys in chronological order.
So without further ado, here is the full Star Wars Piano Medley, composed by John Williams; arranged and performed by his biggest fan, David Kaylor. Hope you enjoy!

Let me just say that all of episode 3, you NAILED. I mean Anakin’s betrayal was AMAZING as well as battle of the hero’s going into Anakin’s dark deeds. I also just wanted to mention that Anakin’s theme gave me goosebumps.
