Deborah O. Also like, and maybe I’m interpreting you wrong, why are you being so critical? There is nothing wrong with eating premade meals or frozen food. The even funnier part is that the vast majority of vegans dont even know what rubes they when they fall for this shit. I know they aren't the best company, but Walmart has good prices. I have lived on foodstamps before and every penny counts. I am glad that there is a source for good prices for those in need and it's great to live as ethical as possible and afford high quality groceries at the same time.

I really hate the stigma that comes with being poor. Your life is already hard enough you don't need people judging you on top of it. In my city the last time I looked it cost over $15 per hour to live and our minimum wage is $11 and we are closer than most places to a living wage. It's completely unacceptable that we treat hard working people like crap and pay them horrible wages. It's even worse for college students, interns, and many others who can't find a job or can't work fulltime.
@rn27876 жыл бұрын
I wish we had Aldi or something like it. We only have King Soopers, Safeway, Walmart, and other major stores like that. In rural areas it's much worse. Our best store is Sprouts, but I basically go for produce only because everything else is ridiculously priced. Luckily my city is so big and diverse that I can go to ethnic stores and there's savings and really good options for vegans.

Veggiekins what so fucking awesome about a video about processed food? What about whole foods?
@Veggiekins6 жыл бұрын
@@aarondiep Vegan doesn't mean that you have to eat healthy. I do, and I think it's the best diet for your health (whole food plant based), but for some, transitioning to vegan swaps for what they usually eat is the first step. Anytime vegan food becomes accessible, or easily found somewhere like Walmart, I'm happy about it because 1. not everyone lives near a whole foods or 2. can afford it. I encourage people to approach veganism the way it makes the most sense for them. Also, no need for the language and sarcasm here. All love ❤️
@aarondiep6 жыл бұрын
Veggiekins I deserve you calling me out for the language. There are just too many people making videos that can harm people. It’s not an exaggeration when I said if you follow an incorrect diet, it can cause your health to be significantly deteriorated. If people eat the foods he shown, they do much better by eating little meat and lots of veggie. As for the cost of whole foods, no one has the ability to eat more than $2/person per day on beans/rice/potatoes and the rest just spend $3/person per day on fruits and veggie + 0.10 vitamin B12. Who said whole foods is expensive? You can buy everything I mentioned from walmart.
@Veggiekins6 жыл бұрын
Cloggo Yoda oh, I assumed you meant Whole Foods market-but I’m with you, I eat whole food plant based myself 90% of the time. I like that there are options though, for people who are just dipping their toes in, or maybe want to opt for a cruelty free version of their fave food. Ideally wfpb for all would be the best! But I know that it’s not the most appealing to all 😝

All others have so much sugar in them it just tastes gross, that and they use almond milk. Cashewmilk seems to tone the flavors down and makes for a more delicious ice cream. Mind you, this happened by accident soooo..😂😂

Tip for something like Nutzo, but that doesn't cost all of the money: have your regular nut butter, and add in some seeds and nuts you already have laying about the house. Sliced almonds, hemp seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc. The variety offers you more nutrition than your normal nut butter, and again, hopefully won't cost you as much as buying it pre-made at the store.
