How to Setup VoiceMeeter Banana For Streaming [2020]

Ive done everything you did in the video, I can hear from my desktop perfectly fine BUT cant hear any of my friends on the discord. I had the same PC setup before I had to do a windows re store. Is there anything you can help me with?

Hey, i've had exact same problem and been working on it for 3h... Solution is easy. In Banana at upper right corner where HARDWARE OUT is @The Video Nerd have set CABLE Input on A2, remove it completly, and restart discord/PC.

I spent about 40 mins trying to get this to work. When i couldn't get it to work i finally did a search for comments with Discord in them and eventually found this one. This tutorial is still really usefull in 2020 (well 2021 now). But this fix is needed to make it work right. Thanks!

I've watched about 10 different video's trying to get someone to EXPLAIN this app, rather than just show how they set it up, and by FAR, this is the best video out there. It's nice to know what settings to use, but i find it far better to UNDERSTAND how things work, not just what settings to use. Great video man!!

Hey dude, just wanted to say a huge thank you for this video! Thanks to your walkthrough I have managed to my PS4 and Elgato Capture card to now run through my Behringer Mixer fully. I can now hear everything through it and not getting loopback in my party chat. I've been working on this for about a year and never found a solution. This is a game changer. Maaaan, you are a legend! For the past two days I have been trying to find out how to configure TeamSpeak, PC, Microphone, Music Sound. For example, with the scene "Starting Soon", while still talking in TeamSpeak, to not be heard on stream, as well as the people I'm talking with and only the song to be heard. My goodness. I think that this is the clearest explanation of how to figure out the IN's and the OUT's and to control them. The software is very powerful, but there has always been either a bit of a language issue with Voicemeeter or a stupidity issue with me, I suspect the 2nd. This interface might be completely intuitive to an audio engineer, but I've had the hardest time figuring out how to send what I want to where I want. The Video Nerd makes this very clear! Thank you. Since I have upgraded the Focusrite Control software to version 6.3 I can select any input of my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 in OBS (even the loopback device to get your DAW sound to OBS). Finally the Focusrite Control software fully supports WDM!!!! So now it's BYE BYE VOICEMEETER BANANA!!!! Hooray!

Hello, thanks so much for this helpful video. I don't stream games, but I have just moved my dance classes to Zoom due to the pandemic. I've been struggling with sending my voice and music without distortion and delays. I use a PC and this Voicemeeter seems it could be the solution. Any chance you could do a tutorial to use VoiceMeeter with Zoom to mix microphone and music? I think I could experiment based on your explanations here, but it would be much better if you do a step-by-step training as helpful as this one. Thank you so much in advance. All the best!

Hi! It's pretty easy. You can do the same thing as in the video, play the music on your pc (will come in through virtual input 1) and then set the aux output as your microphone in zoom, just like I show in streamlabs obs. Hardware input 1 (mic): B2 selected Virtual input 1 (pc sound): A1 and B2 selected Virtual input 2 as microphone in zoom Does that work?

@@TheVideoNerd thank you very much. I just sat down with this awesome video by you, and was able to make the Voicemeeter Banana work for my Zoom meeting! However... the sad part is that I still get the same huge lag between the microphone and the music as I was getting by using the microphone and the share sound function in Zoom... Basically when I mix the microphone and the computer sound (music) and I count the beat on my mic, the count comes clearly behind the music beat. That is really bad when I'm trying to teach dance. Do you know how to improve the latency issue? I'm using Canon camcorder, with a Rode Wireless Go attached, I also used the mic built in the laptop to mix with the music and got very similar latency. Thanks in advance for any input!

Good video, I just wanted to add that the Virtual Input Aux is NOT B2. It's a virtual input you can use, just like the VAIO. The B1/B2 virtual outputs are located at the far right, which are the ones going to the stream. They are VAIO ouput and Aux output. At 11:00 minutes when you lower the slider on your virtual input AUX, and look at the B2 output (At the far right). The audio does not lower. It stays at -6 DB, meaning the virtual input AUX has nothing to do with B2. Just thought I'd clear this up for anyone watching. It's a good video but the virtual input AUX has nothing to do with B2.
