As a Brit we weren't worried about where Catherine had gone. We were told she would be coming back after Easter, so it wasn't an issue. Even when the photo came out the view was: "So what?" It's a photoshop gone wrong but there was nothing malicious behind it. I hope a lesson can be learned here and all the best to Catherine the Princess of Wales.

More widespread dislike of Meghan came after she left the UK and said things in interviews and either or Harry backtracked on later as well as doing things like keeping Royal Ducal titles & using them for their children (despite other royals like Anne actively not giving their children titles). It's funny how everyone is now blaming the palace. Kensington Palace put out a statement in January that she would undergo surgery and that she wouldn't be seen until AFTER Easter. They also said that if there was anything, they would update the public. The problem wasn't the Palace; the problem was Social Media and the Press and their constant need to be in someone else's business. Now, those people finally realize that when someone asks for privacy, they should have that privacy. Maybe now people will learn to respect people's wishes.

There was an error with that photo, which was quickly cleared up and apologized for. In the midst of all the chaos there these days, not surprising they had a slip-up. In return for a life of state power and untold riches, they are kept in a guilded cage and are treated like public property. Sunny was the harshest and loudest one talking about body doubles and conspiracy theories. Yet she didn't even apologize and she went on blaming Sarah and trying to turn it into a joke. I don't know why people were piling on to the Kate conspiracy train. She had major surgery and the Royal family PR clearly stated that. Usually if there's silence after a major surgery, it's clear that something is wrong, which is why Kate's announcement was not a shock. Cancer and other complications are not that rare for a woman in her 40s. The panel (aside from Whoopi) should have known better considering they are all women over 40 and know about health issues that many women face.

I agree with you @coolbreeze5683. I was stunned when Sunny was yapping about body doubles, but then assumed maybe in USA that’s what happens so naturally they assumed it happens here. The frenzy that followed is shocking and I may be wrong, but it seemed to me that a lot of the conspiracies were coming from overseas. If Sunny and others want to look at how Meghan was treated that’s absolutely fine. How Kate was treated is also bad and that needs to be explored. I’ve never seen anything like it. The Palace were clear as you rightly pointed out, major surgery, will be off duty till Easter. Not sure what everyone misunderstood. Or what was so difficult. Somehow that meant she was in a coma, body doubles parading around Windsor Farm Shop, William is having affair, celebrities just mocking Kate. It was really disappointing to see Sarah and Sunny make such a big deal out of this in the previous shows, ceaselessly and repeatedly giving in to the conspiracy theories, and mindless rumors, none of which had any credibility. They too became part of the media toxicity which added fuel to the fire and basically bullied Princess Catherine into revealing a much private and sensitive matter. Attacking a mother with a cancer diagnosis who is only trying to protect her young children is not a joking matter. My British eyes and ears are a little dumbfounded at the lack of apology for misplaced and unkind words spoken by the majority of the ladies on the panel!!! Poor show all round I say. Disappointing I expected more integrity in their words - and making further jokes about being led astray by others is not a good look either.

Can’t believe Sara Haines, out of all them, didn’t apologize. She actually lies and says, “When the conspiracy theories were started I was like we shouldn’t bother” when in the March 13 episode she actually is guilty of going overboard. Then she blames the palace? Then Sunny blames Sara, Brian, & Alyssa for bringing her down the conspiracy rabbit hole while she’s the very one who prides herself as a former prosecutor and weighs both sides of an argument? She should watch the March 13 episode as well as she stomps to the back screen and points out the different colored bricks. More and more I’m finding Sara and Sunny’s feigned pious constitution so irritating, especially Sara. This is why I love Alyssa and Ana for their sincere apology and especially Whoopie whom like most of us couldn’t wrap our heads around the unneeded attention to Princess Kate’s family picture. The bottom line is when someone never takes responsibility and is habitually incapable of apologizing, it’s a sign that they’re a person with a fragile ego and a weak sense of self as Sara and Sunny demonstrated here. Well, I have a problem with Sara DEFLECTING what was HER GUILT and HER COMPLICITY in all this with that smug smile as she so proudly took "credit" last week for getting Alyssa and Sunny into the whole situation like it was entertainment NOW finding EVERYONE else is to blame EXCEPT HER!!! She wants US to believe that was some fail by the way PR teams and royals deal with women. Interesting. How about she just starts with HERself and not putting HERself into the predatory press frenzy who came for Diana, Fergie, and now Catherine?!? Does she truly not understand SHE is in the "WE" category of how the women get mistreated, NOT the other side of "THEM"?!? Don't attack other women should be HER lesson, and when YOU get it wrong, then YOU apologize for exactly what YOU did wrong--NOT preaching to everyone else some big message in place of admitting, "I DID THIS WRONG!"

The palace announced she would be back working, after Easter (this was announced before the cancer diagnosis) The media decided to ignore that statement. Major abdominal surgery can require some time to recover.

@@naylas3908both times she said she was “deeply remorseful”…that she was dragged into the gossip by a fellow panelist. OK, the first one was a joke let’s say, but she never once actually came out and apologized for her role, she just blamed someone else and made herself the victim before moving on to MM. She never expressed remorse for her actions and behavior, only that someone else caused her to fall into the gossip.
