Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed my little campfire and spending some time by my riverside shelter. By the way, there is no mold on the bread. When you make fire and reuse coal from your last campfire, you will get coal on your fingers and when you then take out a piece of white bread, it can leave a mark on it. So that is probably what some people have spotted on the piece of bread. But thanks for caring. And don't worry, I don't have the habit of eating moldy bread.

If people in Norway are calling the mental health hotline over a foreign election, then i think Bjorn's channel should become mandatory viewing for them. Give them a prescription of one outdoor hike per month.

I actually, today no less, had the opportunity to ask one of the people who work on the hotline, if they'd talked to anyone of the people who were scared after Trump became president, and the person ACTUALLY SAID: well, it is understandable though', as to which I asked ''oh, how so?'', she answered that he has said some things which could be interpreted as something scary. I just laughed, and then the person proceeded to tell me that they, in fact, are not allowed to discuss or talk politics with people over this hotline. In Norway yes, and as to why I specifically called the hotline? I guess I need a hobby :D

My husband had no hobbies. It was as if he was frightened of them, like learning something new intimidated him because they would bring him outside his comfort zone, so he would rather sit and do nothing. He was an extremely unhappy person. Hobbies create purpose, a challenge, and an opportunity for mastery and therefore personal growth. Hobbies can be light or they can be extremely intense. They can take place once a month or so or be present each and every day. They can consist of...anything! Hobbies rock.

It can be hard for an introvert to have hobbies living in the city. I tried woodworking but my downstairs neighbour complained about the motorsaw noise. I tried archery but my neighbour complained about me quote "hitting the wall like a madman at 3AM". Then I bought an electric guitar but they told me I was really bad. Wow. I mean, I know I'm a beginner, but I'm shy and sensitive. Way to ruin another hobby for me.

Frankly I never understand people who don't have hobbies. For me, it's "How is that even possible?". Hobbies are a gift you give to yourself and that you don't have to share. I see it as a form of self-love. That might be a stretch but they always bring me pleasure and peace. I've been doing photography for 40 years ( it's my passion ) + I'm always learning and exploring many many things. It's unfortunate that life is so short. Too much to learn and explore. Thanks for the video Bjorn.

Most people who don't have hobbies are like that because of: * Excessive over regulation / licencing * Annual mandatory refresher/update requirements * Extremely expensive licences and permits that have onerous attendance/participation requirements in order to remain 'current' / to maintain * Lack of physical space to do the hobby or to store the required equipment - commonly you are required to own your primary residence or live in a family home (your parents' home) as a licence requirement (I got around that by not moving out of home as the cheapest house is $1 million 2hrs from where I live) * Lack of access - the govt in much of CANZUK & CUNA is closing public land 'to protect it' or 'to give it to the natives', resulting in no access to otherwise empty land you could be enjoying * Lack of $$$$ - over a period of 5yrs (every 5yrs) I'm forced to spend a minimum of $25000 just to be able to have and continue the hobbies I have - that's the licences, permits, update/refresher training and other regulatory costs. You then have to add the actual hobby costs on top of that. Hobbies are only for those that live in countries that aren't over-regulated nanny states, or, only for the rich as most people can't afford to have hobbies and definitely not their own house. One example of just how over-regulated CANZUK & CUNA are is that photography can only be of people, pets or plants. The moment you photograph any other animal you are legally 'hunting' as the definition of hunting includes the 'tracking, coursing and photography of game'. Thus suddenly the photography can be illegal - even if you have the correct hunting licences, you'd still be limited by the legislated seasons, hunting times and bag limits. Sounds stupid but that's the law - I know several people who were given 60 days jail for a first offence because they photographed wild deer without the appropriate hunting licences.

Trump, or whoever the american president is could literally prevent ww3, or a nuclear war. But yes people, me included get a little too into it, as once its done, it is what it is. @CommoditySC That's what I mean. In the end, the outcome is the outcome &, we live with it. There's not much we can do. @@kimerickson1353 Unfortunately, we are the most dangerous species on the planet, and that sole fact is why we are at the top. The universe, and earth, (nature) relies on conflict and death to evolve. Universal love and peace isnt in the cards in this plane of existence. Every animal, every plant is competing through the success cycle of evolution. Trees, shading out competing plants to gain survival, animals killing over territory, bacteria invading other animals to feed off their existence. Its the way of the world.

The desire or drive for a certain hobby/interest certainly waxes and wanes. When sorrow intervenes it demands attention. This does not mean the hobbie is less. It's just that we then dwell on sorrow for as long as we need to. I lost a loved one nearly three years ago in a very tragic situation. I don't think I will ever get fully over it. But at first I thought I couldn't go on. This doesn't mean I was suicidal. It's just that purpose in life vanished in the devastation and in the attempt to grapple with what had happened. It can take years. Whatever it takes to reemerge, changed as we become.

Exactly this! thank you Bjorn for the wisdom you share here! A lot of people are too focused on the things which they cannot change anyway and they stress too much about it amd it consumes them until exhaustion. One of the top prioroties for me is cultivating my hobbies. It makes me happy and then I can make others happy and live in harmony and peace. It also brings me so much needed mental rest. Hobbies are like meditation, you only focus on that and stay in the present moment. It is like breathing, very essential for us to thrive and feel alive. I try to live in harmony with nature and spread love and care about my family and friends. And I really believe, and hope, that by following these values of mine, I make the world a better place, no matter what happens out there. My hobbies are shoemaking and leathercraft, knitting (thisnone is quite new, so I am learning), reading fantasy novels...I hope people will get inspired by your video and start to do more things they love and less doomscrolling ❤

I think for men it's valuable to have a hobby which creates something as a result. Like woodworking, welding, videography, photography, painting, sewing, cooking or even knitting. Especially if you do not create anything valuable at work (or you do not value the products of your work).

Very inspiring. My hobbies include praying, meditating, reading out loud, exercising split up between going to the gym on some days and other days doing my boxing workout at home, baking, cooking, public speaking, improv classes, video games, going for bike rides and car rides, progressing in bjj, tv and internet browsing ect. So productive hobbies mixed in with less productive ones, haha. But all of it together does make me happy. And I plan on taking up new hobbies and developing new skills.

EVERYTHING you said about hobbies in your video is spot on! My hobbies got me through my late wife's battle with and eventual death from renal disease. My hobbies got me through COVID especially the lockdown here in my state of [......]. I just turned off the TV and went to work on my collections. When I go to stamp conventions, I practice my other hobby, photography. When my wife was alive, she said, affectionately, that I had too many hobbies and even called the stamp collecting a disease! But, she always knew where to find me, in my room, working on a collection. Thanks for this video. I hope people learn from it. Again, your advice is spot on! Cheers.

Agreed.......I am so grateful I grew up in the 60's when we only had one tv and less than a dozen channels. With 3 siblings I didn't get much time to sit and stare at a screen, I was always busy playing with toys and friends, mostly outside. I have a very hard time sitting and watching a screen for any length of time with something to occupy my hands, usually knitting. I love yarn and knitting, crochet, cooking, sewing and nature, long walks. It saddens me that we have gotten to a point in society that we all sit on our own screens and there is very little communication, Friday movie night where we walked to the video store and chose a movie and watched it all together is long gone. I know many younger people who rarely leave their homes and are on screens when they aren't working or at school. So many can't carry on a conversation......Enjoy that grilled cheese!
