The Amish work their behinds off and so do people that live offgrid. Have context on what "work" means to you. Sometimes work enjoyed isn't actually work anymore, it's a means to an end to afford a certain lifestyle. I could have bought 10 Ferraris in cash to show off early in my career, but I never did. I've bought nice things, but I've lived well below my means and was able to retire in my 40s. Money, work, career...fun, hobbies, etc. is all in your mind what you "need" to feel whole and living a life that'e worthwhile or, even better, a life of meaning.

@DeSmith-o4b4 ай бұрын
@@DanielJMaddenMaybe sometimes even progress doesn't matter? Biggest lessons I learned facing the wrong side of cancer was that nothing mattered other than understanding why God put me here? Even if you don't believe in God, answering why am I here? Why am I here STILL hit me when I was told I beat cancer. What's my purpose now? Do I need a purpose? Why? Every day I wake up, every experience good/bad that I have, and every sign of the divine (there HE is again...God), I realize how lucky I am to still be alive. I'm a dood, but I'll share a poem I wrote... I went to the Grand Canyon at 18 and sat there in awe, taking it all in. God was there with me. I witnessed the birth of my son. God was there with me. I said good bye to my mother when she was in hospice. God was with me. I faced my mortality fighting late stage cancer. God was with me. I see the changes going on in the world and know that God is with me.

People are programmed robot slaves of the system thinking happyness starts with extern factors like status, money, material things that means nothing and its relativ and an illusion create by society. If your happyness depend on extern factors you will never be because extern factors are endless. Happyness starts inside you. A lot of people are empty inside so work and create an illusion for the outside world to buy stuff thinking they look beautifull or made it but its all emptyness to me. The more people around you, the more expectations, talk about others, lying, frustrations, negativity, jealousy, double standards, violent, sneakyness, own benefits, judge, comparing etc......reflection of their broken souls. Alone you have more strength, peace, power, happyness, freedom and time. And no, not feeling superior or better then others but more be carefully and awake. Be the light in your own life. We born alone and died alone and in between we are all guests......short time here. The here and now is where the magic happens

Yes and I would challenge anyone to surround themselves with better people. I believe we are our most powerful when we are around people who do place expectations on us but encourage us to be who we are meant to be. As the proverb goes, “if you want go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
