Quitting was the hardest thing and easiest I have ever done. If you have thought about it, don't take it lightly. Especially when funding your own business. I quitted for freedom and pursued becoming a videographer. I quitted to follow my dream. I quitted for my mental health and my family but it's true, I did quit my job with no backup plan. Here's how life is going. #thegreatresignation #videography #thecreative

Stop feeling guilty about quitting your job without a backup plan. Society has conditioned us to believe that work and productivity are the main aspects of life.

What I got from this video is the importance of having a supportive network that can keep you accountable when slacking off or getting lazy. I don't have this and I feel like I desperately need this but feel blocked in getting one because of social anxiety and depression.

Yes I would say a supportive network of people is important and remember, one of the most important individuals that supported me through this transition was my therapist. So sometimes that support can come from paid health professionals.

Think about it- Rhiannas song Work Work Work Work. Ru Paul’s You Better Work. Project Runway’s Make It Work. And there are many other pop references to Working. How is it that our human experience programming leaders to working for health insurance, food, shelter. How did we get here. It’s ingrained in our psyche. We’re born. We go to school. We go to work. We die.

People are programmed robot slaves of the system thinking happyness starts with extern factors like status, money, material things that means nothing and its relativ and an illusion create by society. If your happyness depend on extern factors you will never be because extern factors are endless. Happyness starts inside you. A lot of people are empty inside so work and create an illusion for the outside world to buy stuff thinking they look beautifull or made it but its all emptyness to me. The more people around you, the more expectations, talk about others, lying, frustrations, negativity, jealousy, double standards, violent, sneakyness, own benefits, judge, comparing etc......reflection of their broken souls. Alone you have more strength, peace, power, happyness, freedom and time. And no, not feeling superior or better then others but more be carefully and awake. Be the light in your own life. We born alone and died alone and in between we are all guests......short time here. The here and now is where the magic happens
@DanielJMadden
@DanielJMadden Ай бұрын
Yes and I would challenge anyone to surround themselves with better people. I believe we are our most powerful when we are around people who do place expectations on us but encourage us to be who we are meant to be. As the proverb goes, “if you want go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

@@DanielJMadden after this contract ends I will be going back home to pack my car for car camping and I will be hitting the road to different national parks and hidden gems in nature and document the whole adventure through videography and photography. I want to put more brown faces in these outdoor spaces and show that brown people love to camp and be outside as well. I am on a soul journey right now in these last 6 months of my 20s and I feel like this is the right move to make. i dont have any idea how long this adventure will last but I am excited for the unknown!

Lots of people get an education in one field but change to a different field later. I don’t blame you for trying a different type of work if you aren’t happy with the way things are. (As long as you aren’t a 35 year old man living in your parents basement and is working enough to support himself…who cares?). You have your training as a minister and can use that in many ways with any other type of work you find yourself doing. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, Right? (If you ever change your mind you can always go back into ministry…Rocky Mt Conference could use a few more pastors. Good luck to you and God bless.
