2 Corinthians 5:16-20
As we turn the diamond of the gospel, we see the old passing away and the new coming. When Christ comes for His people at the end of all things, we will not spend our days in some ethereal plane plucking a cartoon harp. We will be in physical bodies, in a physical place, and all things will be new. His creation will be set free from decay. Christ will make the wolf lie down with the sheep, the mountains will produce sweet wine, and the deserts will bloom with roses.
We exist to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Matt is awesome. He really knows how to show you the way to continue to fuel your fire for God. Even when the fire dims or diminishes it can always be increased when you throw yourself on the cross and understand that he is the only way. God bless.

He was not qualified to be a pastor anyway, due to his support for the social justice movement as well as CRT. And now he is permanently disqualified due to his moral failure; albeit can obviously be forgiven. No one has the right to be a pastor or a elder. It is a privilege and a high calling.

Permanently disqualified, explain please. Based on the scripture there isn’t anything permanently disqualifies us from working for God especially if you have a desire to work for him. If you’re saying that you’re basically saying Christ dear wasn’t enough.

While we obviously do not know the specifics of what precisely happened, I will say this, and leave it at that; as far as his being removed from the pulpit: NO ONE is removed from the pastoralship for simply “sending a text message to someone of the opposite gender”. Moving on, the social justice movement is unbiblical to the core, in its support for Critical Race Theory, abolishment/defunding police, slavery reparations, the 1619 Project, vitriol aimed at people groups strictly based on the amount of melanin in their skin. Chandler has defended Marxism, the domestic terrorist organization Black Lives Matter, has shown strong contempt for police officers, No one is entitled to be a pastor. There is a list of qualifications laid out in scripture for a man (and only a man) who desires to be one. He needs to read and exegete Galatians 3:28, and Revelation 7:9

If Paul can lead the church and write what becomes most of the new testament after the atrocities of his Saul days, surely Matt Chandler can be a pastor.

@@mrkelvinch1 Correct, prior to the road to Emmaus, Paul committed persecution and terror before getting saved. What did he call himself in Philippians 3? A Hebrew of Hebrews. As a result of that salvation, though, he turned away from false teaching and had a holy hunger to what was true.
