I have been watching Pastor Matt Chandler’s sermons for several years now from Florida! He always has great knowledge of the Word, is an excellent communicator and speaks in love and grace...But THIS message was dripping with the Holy Spirit and it was so amazing to hear! I am praying alongside y’all for revival in our churches, nation and world and believing just as you all are that God is moving! Thanks for everything you do for the Lord and his people!

Whoa! I'm confused but in a great way. You are Calvinist but you endorse the Great Revivals like the Great Awakening and Azusa and Pensacola. Many of which were Holy Spirit baptizing tongue talking healing Revivals. Quite unlike the MacArthur cessation rhetoric. Loved listening to this.

Unbiblical Charasmatic Chaos affirmed by Matt Chandler: In these two time stamped sections of this sermon Matt Chandler affirms the unbiblical act of being slain in the spirit: 14:41 "... slain in the spirit.." 25:25 "...people getting slain in the spirit or in the parking lot..." 15:09 Matt Chandler praises the Azusa Street charismatic revival that was started by William Seymour (protege of Charles F. Parham). NOTE: Charles F. Parham "The Father of Apostolic Faith" was a racist who kept close ties with the KKK. These practices are known to have their influence from New Age Mysticism. What has happened to Matt Chandler? This is very concerning.

Yeah. It's sad. The charismatic destruction is coming to a church near you. Brought to you by your worship leader via Jesus Culture and Hillsong.

I love matt chandler so much but I disagree with his calvinistic interpretations and I think he is also being influenced by these other movements going on too. I heard a sermon where he was saying how a random stranger blew in his face as a sign of some kind of holy spirit anointing and he felt like it was kinda weird but also felt renewed in the spirit after it happened so he accepts it as being legit. The mix of calvinism and nar are the two major heresies right now and he seems to be influenced by both

1907 are you talking about the pentecostal movement. I dont know im kinda confused by you saying that was a revival. It pushed Christianity to be more worldly and secular.

At the end of this message he prays while looking around? It seemed odd. His prayer even seemed like he was talking through it conversationally.

There is nothing in scripture that says you have to close your eyes when praying. I do it all the time, and since I worked at a summer camp that served kids from the inner cities, we were told to pray with our eyes open, keep our eyes open when we are praying, because anything could pop off and we had to be ready at any moment.

Warrior Bride but which spirit are you being slain? In the Bible, Paul describes in Galatians 5 the fruits of the Holy Spirit- Peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control. Is that how you would describe being slain in the spirit?
@DominickRT445 жыл бұрын
Was disheartened when he used the phrase “slain in the spirit”. Definitely not a biblical practice

Thank you both for the feedback. I’m just wary of the practice because falling backwards after someone lays hands on you isn’t found in the Bible. Maybe I’m wrong, idk. I typically don’t look, nor yearn for “spiritual” experiences
@inboxes13982 жыл бұрын
@@DominickRT44 I just typed this message for the comment right above yours but consider this: We use certain words that are not in the bible constantly like Trinity, Free Will, Providence of God. To loosely reference John Piper regarding the word Providence, we often use words as a basis to describe the actions of YHWH in his word. I think people need to consider the context of what he means; it's also important to consider the bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic & Greek, don't you think we are using certain words that don't perfectly translate well from those languages into English? Another thing that I think is a bit hypocritical is that some people who will chew him out for using the phrase "Slain in the Spirit" are probably ok with celebrating Halloween totally dismissing its evil Pagan roots & the symbolisms that we've made cute over the centuries, but yet they'll tell people not to be so "religious" & to lighten up... Or to "reclaim" the holiday as an opportunity to minister unto people. So we can use the "nonbiblical" words such as Trinity & Providence & we can "reclaim" Halloween for the "Lord's purposes" but we can't reclaim "slain"?

What history books are you reading? Please read the actual words of our Founders of the people themselves. Most had Great faith in a HOLY HOLY GOD. Where did the quote about the state of the Church in the 1700's come from? What you quoted does not sound like the way people spoke then. I hope you answer these quotions🇺🇸
