The Boots Christmas ad was offensive on various different levels, but I think primarily because Boots took an actress who was known for a controversy (her 'terribly white balcony' Coronation remark) and used her to create an ad that they must have known would be racially provocative - which effectively implied their tacit approval to her original offence. My main issue with her remark was her hypocrisy. She has an English mother, was born and brought up in England, has a white husband and two presumably 'terribly white' children with him. In that context, her comment at the Coronation seemed very strange indeed.

Invictus is for the military veterans. Where were they. Invictus has been markled. $13K for that ugly messy bun is absolute ridiculous. I can do a better job. Having the Harkles as permanent house guests at Windsor would have been a nightmare. No, don't be put off by Shauna buying a bad brand of water flosser (Colgate brand, not actually Water Pik). If she'd bought the original Water Pik brand she wouldn't have had that troublesome time. They are great designs and work well, not awkward to use. That's why dentists recommend them. Cheaper and no name brands tend to be rubbish designs that don't work well.

I nostalgically see the Myer department store Xmas windows every year. The unveiling/ opening is aimed for children and so inappropriate etc to protest aiming to scare them. When I was young, we’d go by train to the city with my cousins , get our photo with Santa and then go to the Myer rooftop Fair, for games, merry go round & other rides. I have young grandchildren so I am glad that the Boots ad won’t be shown here in the USA. Christmas is still for me for those who still believe in Christmas like little children and those of us who believe in the reason for the season and the spirit of giving by that comes with that. From what I’ve seen of the Boots commercial it was more Halloween than Christmas with a devalued Santa. Oh your story about the water pick made me think of what happened to my daughter recently . She went to an upscale event at a fancy venue . She texted me all excited because the restroom had a bidet as they are not real common in this area. She said she had to try that.
