I can hardly believe my ears - fantastic playing at any age. Maria is not just a fabulous fiddler - she is a mature artist as good as any out there. Technically, she has absolute control over rhythm, intonation, bowing, thirds, octaves, tenths, harmonics, vibrato, sound - everything!!! And she played the Sauret cadenza (one of the toughest out there) She never looked like she was trying to play - she just played. Fearless!!! Amazing!!!!!!

WOW! I have heard this piece many times, usualy with a orchestra. This is the first time to hear it with piano. Duenas has no where to hide (behind a orchestra or a piano) and she gives it her all....with speed! Amazing control and interpretation. A well deserved 1st place award. Very very good. Intonation even at the highest notes is perfect. And the harmonics is superb. And the tone of Maria's violin is excellent... May be it is a Stradivarius...
