I have been a member of The Virtual Instructor for about six months and it is the best art achool I have ever attended - and I have attended several. I warmly recommend Matt's Art Academy.

So question what skill level were you at when you began and at what skill level do you feel like you are now I’m asking because I am seriously a beginner and I’m wondering if this might possibly be too advanced for me😊
@spacekid57208 күн бұрын
No Hun you have courses for complete beginners too this video is basically like some extra exercises to help you get better once you have a little understanding of the basics @@paulanelson4759

Dear Matt, the minute you mentioned some people don't know HOW TO PRACTICE you just caught me. I didn't realize why I would find myself stucked whyle practicing. Overthinking is one of my challenges. Thank you so much for this reminder along with these great exercises in a nutshell. The membership program is amazing and worth subscribing. Buddy

Thank you very much! I'm a self-taught " " artist. Being an aircraft mechanic has taught me attention to detail, and I've always been super critical in all my work. These exercises will definitely help me out.

Impressive stuff. The key word, of course, is practice. Since I'm an absolute beginner the level of skill shown here is far beyond me but it's useful guidance for what most of us would like to attain.

Really great tips. Some of which I knew from the book Drawing from the right side of the brain. But once i did the lesson in the book, i stopped doing them. Made me realize that going back and redoing exercises and stuff is really important.

These are excellent ways of breaking free of ordinary, every day cognition or perception. The upside down thing felt like walking on another planet! Breaking down gradations of value to two, three, then all was an eye opener too. Great tutorial.

Just fantastic. My paintings are being limited by my drawings so I am adding these to my daily practice. Would love more about how you do the skeletal framework for the gesture drawings as my drawing classes just let us scribble madly through that drill. Your way seems to work much better. Thanks!

Great video. A good idea would be to pick your favorite 6 tips, list them in the back cover of your sketchbook, and throw a dice to choose the exercise to do at the moment. Of course you can get one the fancy 10-sided dice if you can’t narrow down the list. Anyway, I appreciate the lesson. Thank you very much!
