Great tutorials! I hope it will help me. I just bought some cheap pastels because I really like to try out new art methods. And when I really like it maybe i will buy some better quality ones

Thank you for sharing. I have a black horse and did a drawing of her as well. Head only. It was done with charcoal. I really like the way you blended. How would you do a pitch black horse? I like the results of mine but I want a more detailed portrait. I really like your end results.

when the sun shines on your 'black horse' then you would see some violets or purples, that is only if the horse is truly black. BUT IF, SORRY FOR THE CAPS, I NEED TO RESTART MY PC, YOUR HORSE IS A DARK BROWN THEN IN THE SUNLIGHT YOU WILL SEE HIGHLIGHTS THAT ARE MORE BROWN. SO IF YOU WANT TO PORTRAY HIM/HER A TRUE PITCH BLACK THEN YOU WOULD ADD THE VIOLETS AND PURPLES. ESSENTIALLY WHAT DO YOU SEE/

So artists just "color" traced photographs? they don't draw any more?
@sylvianblue6 жыл бұрын
doggiesarus well, hopefully not for every painting ! You could do this for quick practice of painting. I draw my own pictures then trace to transfer the image into my paper.
