It never occurred to me that there was more than just standing around and talking with people. I somehow never realized there could be simple games like Spin the bottle let alone Laser Tag, Movie rooms, and weird psychedelic experiences. I can't wait till tomorrow to actually venture around and see what I can actually find, this genuinely got me excited to try VRchat out for the first time.

Please don't let something stupid like VRChat's security update ruin such a wonderful thing. We are so lucky to have VRChat and all the amazing creators making these avatars and worlds. I know people liked mods but some mods were dangerous for people and could really push away new players, they had to go, this is the case with any game of a certain size, Moving to other social vr platforms will not fix this, they would have to do the same once they pass a certain threshhold.

Did you check what mods actually did? most mods were not dangerous. Mods werent crashing your game, crasher avatars were. Mods werent ripping avatars, clients were. Mods prevented the crashing and enabled a lot of people to play who couldnt, they also made the game 1000x better with the qol and had some really cool features. EAC locks deep into your pc and is invasive also causing most people frames to sky rocket and performance tank. It should not be a welcome addition. Chillout VR actually welcomes the modding community because then it can be regulated and they can talk to the modders and actually work together and will never need EAC :)

I've been playing VRChat for 9 days now, and I would say that No Time Two Talk is currently my favorite world. It's a simple world where you're paired up with a person for two minutes before you're back in the search queue and be paired up again with another person, and I think it's a great place to practice your social skills especially for the more introverted ones.

Hello everyone here, I need your help asking the following question: How does the EAC update in VRCHAT affect the worlds and spaces for the users? Context: I'm doing a career switch to focus on environment design for VR Worlds design experiences, and based on my personal research I chose VRCHAT to start making experiments for environmental worlds design, but recently after the backlash of the EAC update I can't find punctual information how this will affect the customer environments the users have created, especially thinking about the initial disclaimer of this video. I’m not sure, I guess it’ll be fine if any of the stuff you have in your world isn’t a mod that EAC can detect. I believe VRC is going more towards a legal professional stand point from what I hear. It’s rumored that they are removing all copyrighted material from their game, content that they don’t own such as legend of Zelda avatars and worlds, halo, etc…to avoid legal action against them.

I understand this motivation from VRC but at the same time I see other platforms such as Artstation where the users upload their versions of branded content. This EAC legal point of view brings 2 open doors: 1. Brands start partnering with VCR as they do with other platforms like Roblox or sandbox. Giving certain level of flexibility to the users to create wearable or spatial content. 2. Users will be forced to develop experiences, wearables and spatial content inspired by the same universe of VRC. It means that external culture and brands won’t be taken in consideration in the creative process. This is way complex than I imagined. Thanks Alaric

VRChat is a 13+ rated game. Not an 18+ game. People should not be using the platform for adult content nor adult hookup. Many kids have been hurt. Please advocate for the devs to change it to an 18+ game officially so that parents are properly warned about the gr,ooming that's happening on the platform. GREAT GREAT GREAT VIDEO!!!!! I can't stress that enough! For an almost 3 year VRchat player like myself there even some worlds I haven't seen on this list that look awesome! My very first vibey world was Treehouse in the Shade and I fell in love. It has been my #1 favorite for all these years, I hugely recommend to go here after a night of drinking ore hanging with friends and bringing the whole group with you. It's a fun world to customize and there are chairs you can sit in and fly around in the sky with friends! I'm looking forward to checking out the worlds on this list I haven't heard of, thanks for making this video and the time you both spent on it regardless of the drama going on with the game right now

The NIH says in the abstract of its Scientific paper for 'The Efficacy, Safety, and Applications of Medical Hypnosis' that, and I quote, "The efficacy and safety of hypnotic techniques in somatic medicine, known as medical hypnosis, have not been supported to date by adequate scientific evidence." However, it was posted in April 2016 so this could be false now, although I don't see how. The anecdotal reports of hypnosis working could simply be the Placebo Effect wherein the brain thinks that a treatment or method is effective for them when in reality, it isn't. The proper definition of the Placebo Effect is "an inert treatment or substance that has no known effects" since Phantom touch is a placebo anyway it could potentially be brought on by another placebo although I do not have the expertise to confirm that. Also, the conditions for the Placebo Effect to be brought on with some of the highest chances of success are displayed in your video, wherein you go to meet with a professional and have the treatment conducted on you by that professional. I am not saying that phantom touch isn't real or even that hypnosis can't bring on a phantom touch, I am simply stating that both are simply examples of placebos. Also the professional in question that can supposedly hypnotize people uses an explanation of hypnosis's efficacy that seems to logically advance toward an argument made by fake martial artists when their art is shown to be ineffective and they simply say, "well he isn't doing it right" or "He simply isn't good at my particular martial art" when in reality the art itself just stinks. TL; DR-Hypnosis has no real scientific basis and is just an example of a placebo. However, a hypnotist claiming to be able to bring on something similar to a placebo, like phantom touch is most likely an actual use of that field, but if a Hypnotist claims to be able to cure diseases or something they are disingenuous con-artists. I have been playing vrchat for a couple of months. I have to say that this is a really good app for socializing with new people, or just to have fun with your friends. But there is a issue. By saying a issue I mean a type of people you can find in the game. What type of people? For example pedophiles. I'm not saying that the game is bad cuz of it, or that every 18+ person talking with somebody under the age of 18 is a pedophile. What I'm talking about, is that one time I have seen on a public hangout room a 21 years old man (age was in his bio) talking, and cuddling in front of the mirror with 12 years old girl (also having her age in the bio, she also sounded for that age) as if they were in a relationship, and the problem is that you can't efficiently deal with it. The only things you can do to deal with it, is to report that person's account, or have a try to speak with the victim. But that time when I tried to speak with that girl I just got blocked, because she find that friendship totally normal. And I know that this comment might be a bit off-topic, becacuse it doesn't relate to the video. I'm writing it as a reminder to warn young people that are new in this game, or people who may have children that play vrchat, and that there is a risk that at some point they could meet a bad person. It seems kinda obvious, but sometimes I have a feeling that some people forget about being safe and about the risk. So if you are a person who is new in this game, and you are reading it, please be safe, and don't take every new friendship in the game too seriously. Thanks for your attention if you made it here.

Im empressed with the new B club. When Blue tossed the link for the wip it was over 200MB and he mangaged to bring it down to just over 100. Somethings did change. There was a hallway that had rc cars but now its just a dead end with a bunch of boxes. It was neat to see the wip and how it changed as stuff was added.

@@RyzawaVT yeah, but its kind of like Facebook where even if the company does something really wrong people have a hard time actually leaving since their social networks and their content is there. Vrchat management doubled down on their stance. They hurt but they did not fall. They didn't even bend. I think this doesn't bode well for the future of vrchat. They have plans for an in-game market provably with their own currency, and I think they will keep tightening things up and constraining users so they have to go through their official channels. We thought this was the freedom oasis, but it was IOI all along.

Exploring is super fun! I've been collecting portals (updating my world monthly since last October) and the grind just never ends. Places found in the "new" and "random" tab, others you search around the internets or hear about while talking to people, and of course other world repositories holding so many portals, there are multiple ways to expand your exploration repertoire. One section of my portal world is dedicated to other repositories, so even if people don't find what they want at my place they can try again at someone else's. Where's my place? Nowhere actually, it's just a *gate between worlds* after all... Shameless promotion aside, this is the best moment to start exploring. If you like wandering in VRchat, just do it! It's a nice way to kill time if your friends are away because of timezones or protests. Just build your repertoire of favorites and create your own tour to show friends that no matter if VRc makes dumb descisions, the content born from hard work of the community is still worth a visit! If this video inspired you, don't let controversies kill your explorer's heart. (you can also take the opportunity to explore other platforms like chillout, that works too xD)

The timing of what happened with VR Chat is so unfortunate. This video was kind of perfectly what I was looking for. I just got into the modding for VR Chat recently and it fixed so many issues I had with the base game. It made me want to give VR Chat another proper try so I can better chip away at my social anxiety. Annnnd then they nuked it along with my desire to play ;w; When I was playing it way back when one of my biggest complaints was the worlds and how it felt like you were just presented the same spotlighted options over and over again without any new variety. So regardless of what's going on with VR Chat right now, great work on the video :D

Also sorry that just when you got an index vrchat made performance worse (which lowers the max quality of the world's you can use without lagging), and killed the mods that increased performance, made pc experience better, and fixed all kinds of issues including crashers.

@@technolus5742 I suppose I'll never know what performance hit I'm getting but I have heard various stories about EAC. Some say they have a big hit after its added while others don't notice anything. It's possible EAC wont have that much effect on VRC since its mostly a GPU heavy game. EAC will mostly be chugging away on the CPU checking for cheat activity. I've also yet to see anything indicating a coming pay wall? Do you have a source for this? I would like to check it out. The team do seem to want to support the community. The latest update indicates that they will be increasing the favourites list for all users not just VRC+ users: "Adding More Favorites for avatars, worlds, and friends is also in our plans. No exact numbers yet, but we’ll be boosting everyone’s favorite count." From the Addressing your Feedback blog post. This doesn't seem like a team intent on milking the community for everything they've got. I think they did listen, but feel pushed into a corner. They may have signed licenses that they feel obliged to use (for EAC). Their mistake was not communicating with the community before hand. Anyway, don't want an argument, these are just my thoughts. Devils advocate type of thing.
