Because Angelina is new to you and maybe some of your followers, here's a little bio on her... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 13 (Barely 9 in this performance) - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through KZbin videos and started studying all the greats from Jazz history. - Angelina always sings barefoot..... When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. (that's a shortened version. the full story is more touching than the way I have told it here) - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 100 songs over the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, and many more. All of which heard her covering their songs and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

Hi Frank, a new subscriber here. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at 8 yrs. old. She is nine here. If you watch the beginning again you see her writing notes on some sheet music, then you see the conductor reading them and smiling. That is because this treasure from heaven, has very definite ideas about how the song should and will go. I really implore you to see her first audition for the Norway Talent thing. She sings,' I'm A Fool To Want You' a cappella, at 7 yrs. old. If you think the song you just heard is a mind blower, this will remove the cranium. She is a musical genius. Since that appearance on the talent show she has sung around the world. She was even a part of Quincy Jones' 80th birthday tribute because of her love of the old jazz and blues standards. I have never seen or heard heard the slightest fear in any of her performances. I have never heard her sing a wrong or 'sour' note. As she has gotten older she has reached for a wider range and some of the upper notes start to fray a bit. But never in a performance. She is one of a kind and as genuine as they come. Oh, if you read this try watching another young prodigy, Daneliya Tuleshova from Kazakhstan where Dimash is from. If you haven't heard of Dimash then brother you have some life experiences ahead of you.

I had suggested that you have a look at Angelina Jordan on your reaction to Diana Ankudinova video Feeling good, and it may have been as a result of that, that you have now discovered the most versatile singer living today. You already have 70 comments about your reaction, so I will be brief. As others have commented, listening to Angelina perform is an emotional experience in itself. In an imaginative moment I likened Angelina to a chameleon, inasmuch as a chameleon adapts its colour to blend with the surroundings, so Angelina adapts the "colour" of her voice to convey the emotions of the song and communicate those emotions to the listener. I follow a number of young singers through KZbin and do so because their singing appeal to *my* emotions but good as they are and as much as I admire them, there is not one of them who can match Angelina's sheer ability and artistry in being able to sing so many musical genre in what appears to be an effortless manner.

I knew she would put a spell on you. But no, she doesn't usually sing like this. Her coach probably told her she would damage her vocal cords if she did, especially at such a young age. You can see that when she sings this song in concerts later, she tones it down some. But she is always beyond amazing. I think people often suggest reactors see this performance first, because we know they will get hooked & want to see more. I would suggest you look at her You Tube channels & go back to her audition for Norway's Got Talent, singing Billie Holiday's Gloomy Sunday at age seven, then proceed from there. She has also written some songs, What Is Life, Shield, & Oslo. She does a lot of covers, usually better than the originals. What you just watched is a cover of the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version of the song. She has a fiercely loyal & enthusiastic fan base, & I'm sure some of them will be forthcoming with very informative comments when they discover that you are reacting to her, & will provide playlists. And watch your subscriptions grow.

That has always been my suspicion also, that she was given some limitations from her coach and parents (or she did herself under advice). It seems these days they are letting her loose more or they are simply not strong enough to restrain this freight-train of musical expression. Yes, "Gloomy Sunday" is a good choice to continue. This is where it started for Angelina. This songs also shows more clearly those subtle talents she has, which are so hard to teach.

People don't need drugs, just listen to Angelina's velvet voice, and your shoulders lower ... She can change her voice depending on what song she sings. She really goes all out in I Putt A Spell On You, but luckily she usually does not put this kind of strain on her vocals and when she perform I Putt A Spell On You live she do not growl and scream like this. I am not sure if anyone has commented about this, so I will do so. As you say Angelina is very confident among all this established musicians, one reason for this might be that it was Angelina herself that made the musical arrangements. She is known for coming to practice with her hand written arrangements and handing them out, she makes all the arrangements when she is accompanied by an assemble. She plays guitar, harp, piano, the flute, and English are her third languish after Norwegian and Persian. She is really, really impressive. I am looking forward too many more for Angelina Jordan reactions and also, I hope, in time, that you will react to the magical Aurora. I suggest you react to Aurora singing her song Runaway at The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, she wrote the song in one hour when she was eleven years old. Great reaction. I'm always happy when new reactors discover her for the first time. I first discovered Angelina Jordan Astar when she first participated in Norway's got talent 2014, when she was 7 and 8 years old. I wouldn't believed it if you had asked me 10 years ago. I have never been interested in the jazz music genre , but Angelina's interpretations of old jazz music classics has "opened my eyes" for that kind of music for sure, and in a way "touched me". In the past year she has posted some great covers of modern music as well. Not first Diana. Diana is 16, Angelina is 13. Angelina was 9 in this video and has sung jazz since she was 18 months old. That means Angelina started singing when Diana was 4. Before Diana started singing. Both brilliant in every way

Wrote a book about the experience to become Norway’s youngest published author. Won Norway’s got Talent at 8. Also she knows how to play the Piano, violin, guitar and the flute.
