She has over a hundred songs, going back to when she was seven. It's like watching a rose, or lotus, bloom, to see her development, from a winner of Norway's got Talent, to a world class star, in "The Champions", not only that, but her work outside of competition is flawless, for the most part.
@williamarmstrong90084 жыл бұрын
Angelina Jordan (born Angelina Jordan Astar on 10 January 2006) is a Norwegian child singer, of Iranian ancestry, whose audition for the 2014 season of Norway's Got Talent at the age of seven, singing "Gloomy Sunday" in the style of Billie Holiday, became a viral video online, and led to worldwide press coverage.[1][2] She went on to win the competition (at eight) with her performance of George Gershwin's "Summertime". Since then she has worked to raise millions of dollars on behalf of environmental causes and children's charities around the world. She always performs barefoot, after befriending a young shoeless girl while traveling when she was six years old. Jordan wrote a book about the experience and became the youngest published author in Norway.

I was 12 years old in 1964 when I first heard “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles. After listening to that and the flip side of the 45 RPM, “I Saw Her Standing There” hundreds of times, I literally remember feeling an electricity in the air that something was changing in our world (as much as I could at age 12). I am 68 now and, after listening to Angelina Jordan sing, I feel that same electricity once again. We know the impact that The Beatles had (and still have) on the world, and I truly feel that Angelina could be as influential as them. She is destined to be a superstar!

It was a standard videoke key for Whitney's I Have Nothing....which is I think a little higher than of Whitney's later version. I can see the struggle in your face worrying Angelina might messed up specially in the change of key in the last run. But as you can see in her face, Angelina took it like it's just an ordinary thing of a day for her. 😅 Lol. Angelina definitely have power in there. She just don't usually use it for she prefers the more intimate jazzy songs. But if the song requires some belting she is definitely more than capable. She really has a wide range... Angelina is known for her impressive low register but this one is the complete opposite of it. Thanks for reacting to her.

Another very insightful reaction to Angelina. Your enthusiasm for her is very warming and I feel confident it will never change as you continue your journey. I'm "dragging the chain a little as I came to this video after listening to your reaction to Diana Ankudinovo singing "It is a man's world" and while I agree it is a very powerful performance, I cannot relate to all the theatrics. Unfortunately, try as I might I don't get any emotional vibes from Diana. I don't know why, because of all the arts music is the most emotional. Somehow I gain the impression that her performance is contrived and not "naturally" her. That remark is possibly harsh but it is how I feel about it. As a contrast, may I suggest you to Angela Jordan singing the same song, at age 12.5 years There are two recordings. (1) It's a Man's World - Angelina Jordan and Forsvarets Stabsmusikkorps - Oslo - 16.06.2018. Although you are able to see her performing, I wouldn't recommend this one as the music is far to loud and the band seems to have no idea how to play when accompanying a singer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnbQaKd9p898gc0&start_radio=1 The next is one of the songs she sang at a concert in June 2018. You don't have the pleasure of seeing Angelina but do hear her performance. (2)Angelina Jordan - It's a Man's World (Live summer 2018) kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5a4f5KjidWfZ6s And, of course, I look forward to your reaction to this performance.

So have you listened to her “How Great Thou Art”? You can check her lower range with that one. Also, when she started using that type of mike, there were complaints that you couldn’t see her mouth and accusations that she was being dubbed. Therefore, they started videoing from the side with that kind of mike (don’t know the name of it) so you could see her mouth.

Great reaction 😍😅 Very entertaining. So she can go higher, but does it mean she have to? To prove that she is good enough? It is a pretty retorical question. She is most known for her bluesy jazzy singing style, raspy voice full of emotion. And she always, always makes a song her own, as hard as it might be to believe, but she even made the show must go on by queen, her own. An amazing cover. She just puts on her own twist and it allways feels like she is living the song, she makes it alive. She is amazing when it comes to cover songs, but her own songs are the best. You should check out her own song, shield... should she not make the next James Bond song? m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooLXhpWMgMdjrNU And yeah... as you've probably already been massively whipped for, she is norwegian. An honest mistake 😊

Hitting high notes isn't the only thing Angelina is showing us in this recording. What in my opinion really stands out is the way she's making the song her own, adding character to it with dynamic changes and perfectly balanced vibratos, and of course her passion and her rich and beautiful voice. But to claim that she can span five octaves must be a serious misunderstanding. Not even the legendary *Ivan Rebroff* managed more than a bit over four octaves (F1-A5) kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4iViKJ5gLyfmZI.
