I see a lot of people complain about LeAnn not choosing one over the other and just out of the blue wants to put them together. But you all need to remember something. Judges' choices like that could go really well as well as it could fail. Remember that Simon Cowell did this too in The X Factor, and instead of letting the contest give up on 5 of it's contestants, he put them all (Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik) into one group and created one of the best and most popular boy bands in the world

Putting them together does give one of them (the one who would have been eliminated) another opportunity to sing and have more exposure to the public which is what they want for their career. Also, forming a duo gives them more publicity and people would remember them better because this makes them stand out from the crowd. Maybe the one who won the battle may feel unfair about it, but it also gives them an advantage of having another person there to make their act better if they were willing to use this opportunity. Another talent pool, they could do more things with 2 voices, 2 points of views. As for other teams, it isn't really that unfair because LeAnne still comes out with only one artist since she merged them, so she still has the same number of contestants as the others. And since others also have duos, and groups are allowed, it isn't an unfair advantage over other teams. If anything it will be harder for them moving forward since they would have to learn quickly how to function as a duo instead of as solo artists. But, it could turn into something great, like others have pointed out, One Direction, was given this chance too.

I prefer the option, that The Voice of Germany offers: The coach can decide, if they let one of them win, both or none. The only rule is, that they must decide on 7 people (or whatever the number was) , whom they let through to the Knockouts. But what happened here is not really fair to anyone.

That’s only since last year (season 13). Also from season 8 of La Voz (The Voice Spain), in which groups of 3 or 4 in the battles sing together. The coach either decide to advance some artists of the 4 ppl or the entire group to the next round.

The stuff thats been going on this season is just ridiculous, theres too many rule changes and strange coach overrulings that just ruin it for me. It feels so unnatural for a competition series. The voice australia is just so obviously staged and planned that it takes away from viewer experience.

But The Voice Australia shortened some of them or hardly showed them at all? That‘s rude and unfair to the contestants and also to the audience. @@lisamacie2011 You're being too innocent to not notice about all the pre-recorded Non-Live performances, all the dramas the producers created together with Guy for several times in the past seasons when he pushed the button eventhough his team was full but he eventually took on 11 contestants on his team instead of 10. And one time, there's this unique contestant, an asian descendant, he played to his strength for his audition and got 4 chair turn, and he chose Guy, only to be used to Not being able to sing with his voice in the Battles round and being used as a prop for the other contestant only, even Delta and Kelly went angry and were upset because he wasn't allowed to sing, which was not fair at all.

I'm certain the rules say you choose the best contestant based on his or her singing, ie you choose one contestant who has already sung, based on that performance and not on some imagined result of two contestants singing together. This "duo" is purely a click bait and a gimmick. It can be challenged in a court of law by whoever loses the decision. That's my opinion. What do you think?

Wasn't Jennifer Hudson a judge on this show a few times? Plus Boy George English and Sir Tom Jones Welsh, so why not American? America's Got Talent doesn't even have one American judge, so think about that for a minute lol. Not even one American in the whole US could be a judge and half the contestants come from other places too. So apparently America doesn’t have talent? I’m American living in Vienna, Austria and The Voice Australia is my favorite. It’s a big global world now lol. Btw, LeAnn is a judge on The Voice UK this season too! It’s annoying that they aren’t showing the winners of the battles or which coach people picked.
