I've been in both the art and music world since the mid-80s and 99.9% of artists are all bluster and ego. Once in a blue moon, if we're all very lucky, we get to experience someone like Aurora. So pure. So perfect that their genius is undeniable. Be very thankful you're alive to witness her. Stay safe everyone. Cheers from Florida.

This is probably the best analysis/review of Aurora's music that I have seen on KZbin. It's worthy of her and her artistry. I especially liked that you used clips to illustrate your points. The thumbs-under-chin, hands-flared gesture looks like the symbolic open-to-world pose she uses on the cover for a Different Kind of Human, her 2019 album. Various "warriors" have already mentioned her version of this song in a cathedral in Norway at Christmas time in 2017, different but equally great.

Wow. Ethereal is the word that came to mind for me. Fabulous control. I don't know how old she is, but her soul sure is! Very nice accompaniment, as well! Her diction makes the words stand in attention. It is precise without being demanding. It allows each of the syllables to be. To have space. To be heard. Very well done, this! Great reaction, Christi, with all the things you so skillfully draw attention to, so we can listen better and hear deeper. Her voice will not be talked over, because she has one all her own. Good for her!

Lana del Rey?? I used to manage a tea shop in LA and Lana came in frequently. She SEEMS sweet but she totally stole our new (at the time) brand artwork we had made and used it for her merch. We had literally JUST commissioned it (and we’re about to get the trademark ball rolling) and I was in the shop when she saw it on our napkins and said took a picture of it and then boom the next week or two it was up on her site for merch. Then she stopped coming in. So she totally knew wtf she did… and honestly all she could have done was ask and we would have been like yes queen use it and just like shout out our tea shop on IG or something but nope. Totally changed my view of her unfortunately 😢 can’t see her as one of the kindest and sweetest people on earth after blatantly stealing that… it’s literally art of our shop and the street it’s on lmfao

I think you make perfect sense. Perfection without heart is soulless. Case in point, her lates release "Exist For Love" The version she released with her video was the very first demo recording!!!! She said it felt more real, more genuine. Flaws and all. Although what she means by flaws is beyond my understanding, lol. So if you are just beginning to dip your toes into the deep, deep lake that is Aurora, you are in for something very special indeed. I think you are very good to by the way. Its always great to listen to someone who knows what they are talking about and can appreciate, well, art. So, good job. Good job indeed. Subscribed. Love from Norway. Great reaction to Aurora! Well done. You are an amazing vocal coach. I just like to add an little detail that might help explaining Aurora's ability to to go very high up on the tone scale with here voice. As a native Norwegian, when we talk we quite often go up a tone, at the end of the word... Like when we say "Chocolate", we say: sjokolade sjo-ko-la-DE... at DE we go higher in tone. When Aurora sings in English, she got the capability to go up tones, so fast, and smoothly, that it just sounds beautiful. Of course, she got a great talent as well. The guitars, I think her name is Silje?, Is also Norwegian, with a great voice and talent. In the 90's when the blockbuster Titanic was made, and Celine dion made the title track, the producer added a high clear voice, from sissel kyrkjebø, who also got this ability, to produce very high tones. Anyway. I hope this explains why there are so many successful Scandinavia artist. They all got it in the way they, "sing in their own language".
@TemperaMagenta
@TemperaMagenta 3 жыл бұрын
Both Sissel and Aurora have Western Norwegian "low tone" dialects, so that does not explain it. I doubt that a dialect feature will have much impact on someone's ability to sing high notes.
