I doubt he has. He used to be a drummer, and he actually played drum for Ina (the female mentor) years ago. She recognized him in the auditions and said «I didnt know you could sing, and like that!,»

Fun fact is that Dag Erik actually used to be Ina’s drummer years ago. She didnt know he could sing and she got a bit upset he didnt chose her as his mentor 😊

He picked the song cause his mother heard Vince Gill sing the song when they were at his concert in Nashville together and after that she couldnt stop playing the song 😊 His proud mum at 1:39. He sings it to his live-in girlfriend (cause Espen told him to sing it to someone special to get that real emotion through).
