I have been a history professor for 25 years, I tell my students the first day of class "if you memorize any dates I will be upset with you" History should be about telling the amazing stories of the past in a fun way. Minecraft History Builds and historical read alouds. We use Curiosity Chronicles which includes a Minecraft project for every chapter. There are also a lot of hands on activities and recipes so sometimes we do those, but honestly for my kids it's the Minecraft.

We are obsessed with your unit studies but the Who was and What was series seem to really be some of my kids favorites. Even my mom and husband get involved. We're all learning.

Interview people that lived through different moments in history! That was always impactful to me. My father used to work with some WW2 vets and their stories were vastly different but it was interesting to hear them just the same.
